swdivad Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I've had this watch for a year now, lovin' it more than my gens... Just got a beautiful Dirk Vacchetta Naturale today, and I just can't think of a better combination... Thanks for looking :
V Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 What can I say.. beautiful watch david and great strap combo
yellomen Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 And if you ever stop lovin' it... i will gladly take it from you and start loving it
Victoria Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Great composition. Even better strap and watch combo! Oh God, all these straps today...they'll be the death of me. I have to post one to assuage my longings. (I had a Dirk planned for the Wristcheck today!) Thanks for these shots, though!
rolli Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 a characteristic and bold styled watch and combo, superb rolli
dadog13 Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 this one is one of the best looking personal projects done by members that I have seen in this couple of years that I am on the forums...in the same range as Rolli's "slob" or a couple of vintage PAMs done by other members... Panerai should have done it as gen, definitely! wear it well!
old skool Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I was looking into building an unbranded white dialed version with PVD case, with black hands. I gave up on it though... Your picture makes me regret that. Very nice watch and very nice strap.
sssurfer Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Awesome watch & combo indeed! Just, for the sake of god, next time portray it on a contrast background!
triunfadorazo Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 Awesome watch, and strap combination! Do you buy this one PVD already or it's a mod and do you coated after. If is the first case, could i ask where do you by this PVD Pam Daylight? Thanks
Watchmeister Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 I can answer that. He did it himself and it was a labor of love. It is a work of art and I had forgotten about the strap - very nice touch.
triunfadorazo Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 WOW! Incredible work. Congratulations!
BLIK Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 love that PVD Daylight that strap is cool.......... aweseome combo
rogerthat Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 Love how the numbers on the outer bezel look with the PVD finish. Great Job, strap work well too. I assume you PVD'd the buckle too, or does Dirk sell PVD buckles? Cheers, M
swdivad Posted February 17, 2008 Author Report Posted February 17, 2008 Thanks All for your comments... yes, this was a labour of love that lasted about a year and a bit...There is one in the world AFAIK PVD was done by me, but only a one off. If anyone wants a PVD done here (I am in Australia), the ajosmith is the guy to talk to. Bezel tachymeter was filled in with a lacquer stik available on the WWW, lume by the master The Zigmeister, AR coat by finepics before retirementy. Strap is an original Dirk with original PVD buckle.... sweet and smelly as
ubiquitous Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 D- I never get tired of seeing that one! I love the contrast of the new strap with the case/buckle. Absolutely gorgeous!
