Big Bang King!

Recommended Posts

Josh and Andrew have unveiled their newest "prize":

The Big Bang King!!

Though they have not listed a price, knowing them they will want $300-400-500 or more for this watch.

Knowing that their both here on the forum right now, in the off chance that they might answer, I have to ask:

Why would you put a 7750 into a watch that has no chronograph or complication?

Is a sculpted and engraved rotor really necessary on a watch with a solid caseback?

Heavy white gold plating on stainless steel?

This watch should be perfectly replicated, with an $20 4813 in a steel movement holder for a total price under $200 (maybe in the $100-150 range)

Just my thoughts.

there are already a lot of non-chrono reps that use the 7750. a lot.

and i totally agree with two tone. if you don't like the watch, fine. not my cup of tea either. but calling out one of the most established dealers on the forums is just not necessary :(

I really don't understand what you mean.

Maybe you ought to point out the problem....

Please clarify.

*edit* nevermind, I get it now - one of them PM'd you and asked you to delete this topic, right?

NOBODY PM'd me...

Looks pretty decent, personally its too big for me @ 48mm.. but i'm not sure what gio said wrong? simply was stating his opinion which is more than likely going to end up being true considering they put a 7750 in it, and considering the regular big bangs are priced anywere from 500-1100..we'll just have to wait and see when its released. but it seems like the new price trends lately are a little to expensive for my taste. you could buy a nice gen for the price of 2 reps

I'm generally discussing replicas in a replica general discussion forum. I don't care who's in bed with whom. I did not say anything wrong, or make any offensive comments in this thread, so if you're not interested in discussing this watch then don't post here. As for "a lot of non-chrono reps" I'd love to hear about all the non-complicated reps that use 7750, 'cause that's news to me.

panerai 104/88/89/ 229 all the submursibles there are loads with no complication or a GMT function that could use 2813/4813/2824/2836 but use 7750

whats so funny is that they can get this el cheapo fugly watch with an engraved rotor, but claimed on the 1000$+ HBB that it was not possible...!

Just for the record - I do like this watch, and my questions are serious questions. I really do want to know if there is any reason why this must contain a 7750 instead of a DG4813 other than to justify a higher price? Is the engraved rotor really necessary when the resources could be put to better use (e.g. fixing the pearl)? Does the "triple wrapped white gold" really make a difference? Almost every white gold rep I've seen (mostly Rolex) did just fine with polished stainless (even the sandblasted bezel insert on the Yachtmaster). So are these things really necessary, or is it simply a way to justify a $300-400-500+ price tag?

My only comment to the designers of this and every other "Big Thud" is: Read the First name on the Company line of your paychecks phonetically!!...It describes ya'll to a "T"!! ;) ;) ;)

Bivier IS that "Emperor" of fable!! ;)
