Sir-Lancelot
That's what mine have engraved and they are some years old. I don't think it's anything new.
Cats
Thanks Sir-Lancelot, the reason why i asked this is because i saw a lot MBW/MBK's with a different engraving ORIG POLEX DESIGN 5513 STAINLESS STEEL L341350 That's why i'm confused. By-Tor
@Cats: Please post pics of your watch. I couldn't tell if it's a MBW or not (from the pics I received via PM). I'm not that familiar with the vintages (rep or gen). All I can say that the watch isn't the same as my old (long gone) red MBW 1680, and I doubt they have made any different versions. Sir-Lancelot
Cats, I screwed up. Mine does say 5513 and NOT 1680. L341162 ser. I am very sorry, I read one thing and my mind registered something else. Again, I am sorry I mislead you. It was not on purpose.

Sir-Lancelot
I am confused as hell. The 1680 engraved case looks like MBW to me too. narikaa's case has a different serial number than both of mine but it is for sure MBW too. Funk me. I am lost. Stephane
Hmm all this need some clarification from Narika. I mean, at the end of the day, on this board, Narika and TTK are the ones for MBW. I'm not sure if a MBW has a 1680 engraving but if it does, that is a great improvment.

Star69
but the dial printing is also different to the ones 1 had - strange ?
Cats
Thanks Frank i'm already learnign how to use a dremel. My 1655 bezel looks great now. And the snake coming out of the caseback is the new hang tag version ( much easier to store it then in a watchbox just put a nail in your wall ) Tried to open the caseback once but it isn't screwed in flat and my Bergeon already slipped once so i won't try it again. Tribal
Maybe that's a newer batch with correct engravings. Mine is stamped 5513. So there where some things changed in the past. newer Dials no more real Singer,HE Valve on the SD was functional in the past and so on. But there are also some MBW/MBK fakes oj the market. Funny thing a Rep from a Rep I think resembling the whole watch will clarify the fact.

Carpe Diem Cats Don't do it with a Bergeon Opener. try a cheap rubber vacuum opener works on the most watches.
manuel
So the new one is a rep from the rep? I have noticed that the new seems to have the serial etched with laser, not engraved, am I right? Also you say font is better...I am planning to buy a white not red..Will the white remain untouched? The yellow lume is very fake imo. Edited June 19, 2008 by manuel
Cats
Thanks to all who responded in this post or send me a PM. It made me help to draw the conclusion. Tribal, the problem is i don't have a vacuum rubber opener so i will never know what's inside. Unless it will be disassembled totally. Carpe Diem Cats Wear rubber garden gloves. With the watch back facing you, put both thumbs on the back and rotate counter clockwise. Work great for me. No scratched backs here..
