Thanks Sir-Lancelot,

the reason why i asked this is because i saw a lot MBW/MBK's with a different engraving

ORIG POLEX DESIGN

STAINLESS STEEL

L341350

@Cats: Please post pics of your watch.

I couldn't tell if it's a MBW or not (from the pics I received via PM). I'm not that familiar with the vintages (rep or gen).

All I can say that the watch isn't the same as my old (long gone) red MBW 1680, and I doubt they have made any different versions.

Thanks Frank i'm already learnign how to use a dremel. My 1655 bezel looks great now.

And the snake coming out of the caseback is the new hang tag version ( much easier to store it then in a watchbox just put a nail in your wall ) :D

Tried to open the caseback once but it isn't screwed in flat and my Bergeon already slipped once so i won't try it again.

Maybe that's a newer batch with correct engravings.

Mine is stamped 5513.

So there where some things changed in the past.

newer Dials no more real Singer,HE Valve on the SD was

functional in the past and so on.

But there are also some MBW/MBK fakes oj the market.

Funny thing a Rep from a Rep ;)

I think resembling the whole watch will clarify the fact.

Don't do it with a Bergeon Opener.

try a cheap rubber vacuum opener works on the most

watches.

So the new one is a rep from the rep?

I have noticed that the new seems to have the serial etched with laser, not engraved, am I right?

Also you say font is better...I am planning to buy a white not red..Will the white remain untouched?

The yellow lume is very fake imo.

Thanks to all who responded in this post or send me a PM.

It made me help to draw the conclusion.

Tribal, the problem is i don't have a vacuum rubber opener so i will never know what's inside.

Unless it will be disassembled totally.

Wear rubber garden gloves. With the watch back facing you, put both thumbs on the back and rotate counter clockwise. Work great for me. No scratched backs here..
