so - finally its done :D

it has now an ETA movement - gen crow fits without mods -

same with the gen insert - but the gen crystal - sadly doesnt fit -_-

some pics from today ...

gen insert fits perfect :

gen crystal mounted - notice the perfect magnification :

DSC02134.jpg

but sadly its like 0.1 mm to small to stay in place - i dont want to glue it in ...

here you see the differences - rep vs gen :

and the watch so far with the stock crystal :

cheers,

Frank you need a gen or aftermarket Gasket

to fit the Glass.

On the other Euromariner all fits fine I can't

understand why not on yours.

It looks like the gasket is broken and you have now

two pieces ?

Maybe there are small differences from factory.

But hey looks good.

A gen or aftermarket gasket is slightly larger and taller (compared to wm9 one).

I guess it's the same for your MBK.

I've just upgraded my watch with a gen gasket and it makes a huge difference, the crystal sits higher and the rehaut becomes deeper, same depht as gen.

Try like Tribal says, otherwise it's a pity :(

thanks for the comments !

i think the problem is only the gasket -

anybody know where to get a gen one - or has a pic of it ???? ;)

but maybe i do something wrong :)

Dirk - there is no gasket on the rep glas - it is so fat .

some more pics :

this are all the parts of the bezel :

DSC02191k.jpg

this is where i belive - sits the gaket we are talking about ;)

DSC02184k.jpg

the construction is nice exept for the plastic ring that holds the bezel to the case :

(at least i think - without it the bezel can not me mounted to the case)

i whould love to see the gen assembly or the WM9 one ....

cheers,

Frank

NO, this won't fit.

You'll need 295c-2 gasket.

295c-1 is for datejust (and daytona I guess)

It's not easy to find a gen gasket only, you could buy clark's crystal complete (specifying for submariner), gasket has the same gen specs, and you'll have a spare crystal.

Definetely no, they won't fit

I want to upgrade the crystals in several of my rolexes, do you know if replacement crystals are available that will fit the other rep cases, datejust etc? Is there a reference giving the dimentions of the genuine or oem rolex crystals?

Thanks.

Ok me too :(

I want to upgrade my WM9 and my Noob "16800".

1) I'd love to fit a genuine crystal (with laser edged crown) on the WM9 but apparently it's are hard to find so if someone can help me to find one or sel me one  ...

2) Genuine will not fit the Noob case but does anybody know which Clark, if any, and with NO laser edged crown, could be fitted in a Noob case ?

Many thanks :D

Stephane

PS: I want the crystal of my WM9 Tribalised to look like this

well done Landsmann :-)

how about the Datemag-Position on your Repcrystal ? On mine Euromariner LV the Datemag is a mm too far left an a bit underline. Yours better? Maybe you sell it?

if anybody is interested - i found the gen construction :

r20_007.jpg

looks spot on with the Rep -

i hope my Clarks gasket will work out - it needs to be a little thicker then the rep one i have -

then it should work out.

cheers,

Frank

did the gen crystal reduce the mag size or is this an illusion?

Hey Frank,

your gasket is broken what I see

from the Pics.

The small gasket in the retaining Ring a the bigger

plastic ring are normally one piece.

Maybe you broke it by dissambling.

So no plastic Ring that hold the Bezel and an extra gasket

for the Crystal just one gasket.

Hope you understand what I mean.
