Raijor
How about .. O"may"ga as a slightly different pronunciation. I am unsure of where you live but think that is a factor in pronunciation. I heard a BBC news presenter also pronounce it Om"ee"ga, I think this is a British thing. I am in Canada and hear it pronounced O"may"ga
Pugwash
There are three pronunciations. oh MEE guh oh MAY guh OH mahgah They're all 'correct', but if you want to be absolutely and utterly pedantic, if you're not putting on a French accent and saying it swiss-style, it's wrong. jot9011
I've always pronounced it "oh-may-gah". But evidently there are different ways to pronounce it: hxxp://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/omega (like Pug said)

orionz
Yeah, Omega is a swiss's brand. In Switzerland, people speak French. I'am French and the real and good prononciation is O"MAY"GA Actually there are 4 Official languages in Switzerland: German, French, Italian, Romansh. So you can't say that any way of pronouncing the word Omega is more correct than another. You just pronounce it in your native language like you were pronouncing the greek letter Ω, that's it.
