Regulator Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 Anything from Urwerk... I'd even start going to church if these things showed up in 2009. How do you even tell time on this thing?
Bibbs Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 How do you even tell time on this thing? The hand sweeps round the bottom 3rd, telling you the mins, the hand in the bottom 3rd has the Hour on it (and each of the 3 hands rotates, so each hand is used for 4 separate hours : 1,4,7,10 : 2,5,8,11 : 3,6,9,12)
dadog13 Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 How do you even tell time on this thing? actually you can find a lot of cool videos on youtube!
AMK000 Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 Already called out for, but I REALLY would like this one: Jubilee Aquatimer vintage yes yes yes
ChipSlap Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 I want this: http://www.doxawatches.com/sub750_sharkhunter.htm My brother in law had a Doxa blackface about 35 years ago when he was a SEAL. The ricebead bracelet broke one day as he was jumping out of an airplane. He watched if fall below him, noting where it landed. After some searching, he found it again and determined that it gained about 2hrs a day. Into the sock drawer it went for 30+ years. After he sold it last year, he told me he would have given it to me if he's known I was into watches.
im2 Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 Anything from Urwerk... I'd even start going to church if these things showed up in 2009. How do you even tell time on this thing? Another URWERK fan!! Some things can never replicarted my friend....
yodap Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 I'd just like a Bentley Motors with seconds at 3 +1 for that! A 30s chronograph would be a killer! And fix the damn slide rule rotation as well please
flex Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 There are a couple of watches that I have always wanted...
bubu Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 Corum Golden Bridge All enclosed in crystal. One beautiful watch
ubiquitous Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 I'd love to see the vintage Fifty Fathoms as well. For the original poster... I loved the vintage Seamaster300 so much, I ended up just buying a gen a few years back: An all original example, and a steal for the then price of $600.
smc Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 As Slartibartfast said, Breitling aerospace I just love the modern look with italicised font Breitling Emergency The most James Bond-y of any watch around at the moment Bell Ross Aviation Notice a ani-digi theme here? Emergency first, but any of the above
diver_dylan Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 That story hurts my belly..... dred30 Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 I just want the Bentley clasp to be corrected. It should say Bentley not Breitling.
ubiquitous Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 $600!!! lucky! Well, I admit- I did bargain down from $800. Still, even at that price, it would have been a good deal!
Noel Fleischer Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 i had wanted the UN Maxi Diver w/o chronos. i just heard they are in production for next year. in the meantime - i may get the chrono with the black bezel. i do prefer the simpler watch.
