Rolexman Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 At a first glance: The colour of the ceramic insert looks really strange, so does the pearl.
elprimerozen Posted December 5, 2008 Author Report Posted December 5, 2008 At a first glance: The colour of the ceramic insert looks really strange, so does the pearl. I think its ok...or i can say its the corect "effect" for a full ceramic bezel!I was "playing" the other day with a friends Gen GMT ceramic and in the most position the bezel made the same 'gray" effect!!
itseme Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 The Bezel insert looks very bad, the numbers are too thin.... sad sad sad :-( I think its ok...or i can say its the corect "effect" for a full ceramic bezel!I was "playing" the other day with a friends Gen GMT ceramic and in the most position the bezel made the same 'gray" effect!!

I thought we concluded here these $300 don't have real ceramic inserts? Maybe they used a sort of grey plastic?
lazarini Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 This looks to best yet to date that's for sure... all do his pics as always are terrible im looking forward to see better pics from the membership here. Laz
elprimerozen Posted December 5, 2008 Author Report Posted December 5, 2008 Yes the bezel numbers are thin..... gen
chefcook Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 They got the SELs right, which is an enormous improvement over PTs...
tenacious_b Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 if you want to see some really kickass pics of this watch, check out the pics on kingwatches.net
freddy333 Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 Until 1 of the factories gets the 'Original Gas' & 'Ring Lock' engravings right, how can you even think of using the term '1:1' in reference to these reps?
AllergyDoc Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 Hopefully the bezel numbers will appear thicker in person. I'm also wondering about the lume color of the markers. I look forward to the pics!
Stephane Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 Until 1 of the factories gets the 'Original Gas' & 'Ring Lock' engravings right, how can you even think of using the term '1:1' in reference to these reps? Indeed, among other things like the insert ! But let's wait for ElPrimero's photos
hiker01 Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 @el! Don't forget the lume Shots! We need to see those Blues!!! Thanks!
poopypants Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 i used to hate it, but now i like it...
lanikai Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 This is the one we've been waiting for .. as stated .. "around the end of the year" if this one is not the most accurate then fogetaboutit....... hopefully it will be on par with the GMTCII it's what I've been holding on for.. the info that this was going to be the one made from genuine sample was passed on btw... edit add: of course 1:1 is asking a bit much ... maybe the lesser brands would be perfect but "extrememly close" would be great !!
dalayclass Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 I don't know if it has been mentioned but talking about the band, on the deep sea it is supposed to have the end link and then three other links not removable and then the removable ones whereas on a normal sub or SD you have the end link, four not removable links and the removable... it's a detail but I think it's important to say. On Josh site it is correct but I already saw it with four links... I hope I am clear, not easy to explain
Dizzy Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 very sad.... that bezel insert it terrible... what are these people thinking when they build these things?
Genrep Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 I just ordered a couple for Christmas from Trusty. I do wonder what the 'pearl' will look like, though... Check out the link: http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...24bb04b90d96599
