freddy333 Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 I wore something special today in honor of the 28th anniversary of John Lennon's assassination (Dec 8, 1980) This is an unpublished pic of JL, taken shortly before his death, that I got from a close friend of his All you need is love.

dluddy Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Nice remembrance Freddy. Still remember that day. His influence and music are sorely missed. 024A for me today:
RobbieG Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Cool lume on that Seamaster Rocky. Don't remember seeing that one from you before...
freddy333 Posted December 8, 2008 Author Report Posted December 8, 2008 Freddy, what is the deal on that Daytona. Didn't know you had one and don't know much about them as they were never really my thing. Rep - gen? Must be a special occasion as I would think polished surfaces to be a little blingy for the typical Freddy no? But hey, it is a special occasion as you say... Ordinarily, I avoid bling like the plague, but, when it comes to Daytonas & the marking of an important day, an exception must be made Here is the background on my watch.
RobbieG Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 In the usual work attire of pajamas or when I actaully get dressed and leave my office, which these days is much less often, I just never tire of it. It just seems to go with everything and is of course so comfortable. I have had one DJ or another for at least 15 years and there has never been a time when one wasn't rotating in my box. I can't say that about any other watch in my collection. I know there is nothing inherently cool about these watches, but it is interesting how many long time collectors like me still gravitate towards them...

jkirke Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 King today UPO Wednesday Both from SEAD. I absolutly love the versatility of both pieces. Can't quite get away with the King in a suit, but it looks smashing with a nice set of khakis and Lacoste short sleeved polo. But that damn UPO goes with EVERYTHING. Even looks AMAZING on the rubber for those warmer days. cheers to a Tuesday morning from my chilly little Art classroom. my 8th graders say Hi!!!
