HEY, HEY RWGII RETURNS DOWN UNDER!!:thumbsupsmileyanim:

You have no idea how much work I have got done!

John and Andy were professional golfers and keen rivals. One day during a game, they had each scored 30 when Andy hit a bad shot. John immediately added 10 to his score. John then hit a good shot and he won the game. Why?

Because adding 10 is bad in golf?

The question is oddly worded. :D

Ok because the bad shot made Andy lose his ball and it was the last one he had

Because straight after the bad shot Andy dropped dead on the spot, well he wasn't really dead at first but with the game so close John wasn't going to help him. :D

Like it. Not quite there yet though...

Before the bad shot John was cheating but he figured (after seeing where Andy's ball went) that he was safe to put down his correct score.

Which one of the following four words does not belong to this group, and why?

ORIOLE

ORANGE

MONTH

OIL

Month, because it doesn't begin with O.

Month, because it has only one vowel.

Oil, because it's the only word contained in another.

Oil, because it's less than the 5 letter limit.

Month, because it's the only thing you can't hold in your hand.

Oriole, because it's the only word that contains another word present.

Orange, because the rest rhyme with something (even if lozenge is good enough for most people)

You're on the right track here. :)

Oil rhymes with Toil. Nothing else has rhymes, allegedly. You can add silver and purple to that list.

I'm only saying this so I can get the answer right, as "(n+1)th" rhymes with Month, as does Seventh.

Now why didn't I think of that!

Because the question was so badly worded to hide the obvious ambiguity, that it became cumbersome enough to be misunderstood.

Cornerstone is Miss Understood, is that what you're saying! :o

That is a teaser! :whistling:

Crikey - a lot going on here.

@irongambit - YES TENNIS!! WINNER!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

@Pugwash - YES - the whole rhyme thing. I'm just reading the card. WINNER!! ;)

Under what conditions would a rope be most likely to break?

a. 20 men of equal strength with 10 pulling on each end.

b. 10 of the same men pulling on one end and the other end being fastened to a tree.

c. It makes no difference

(OT: Ach, what a shite day... :inv: )

Here's a different question:

Rachel was sun bathing at a nude beach because she heard it was the best way to acquire an overall tan. :Jumpy: Day after day she was out lying in the sun, yet couldn't manage the complete tan. What could she be doing wrong to prevent her from receiving the even tones she so desired? :g:

And that stupid idiot Rachelle keeps forgeting to take her bikini off.

YES!! WINNER!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

"a" wasn't the answer to the other one.

If boiling water is poured into a thick drinking glass as well as a very thin wine glass, of the two, which is more likely to crack? Explain. :g:

The wine glass would crack first. He would blame the decanter for buying the drugs and then passing them on to the whisky tumblers. He would blow in the champagne flutes as they were on the scene and he would accuse the hi-balls of extortion as they were wanting a piece of the action. He would grass up the ice bucket just because he is an ugly b**tard.

Never trust a wine glass…………..more like a whine glass!

Wot’s my prize?
