Mickey Padge Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Here are a few wrist shots of my Skylands! I really love this replica, at first I was not so sure, but then I realized the error of my ways and purchased all the different dials and some nice straps to go with them The black dial is on a gen Breitling croc strap/deployant, the grey dial is on an gen croc strap (aftermarket) and the blue dial version is using the rep rubber strap.... Keep clicking to expand! It is nice to be able to choose the colour of the watch that you feel like wearing, on any particular day. Also is anybody else just bored with the SS bracelets? I really don't like wearing them any more Comments and observations welcome!
Mickey Padge Posted January 13, 2009 Author Report Posted January 13, 2009 Please excuse my manly reflection in some of the photos!
b16a2 Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Nice collection MP, although they're the same watch, he dials have very different looks to them! How about a Blacksteel to complete the set?
PAMman Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 I really like the grey dial - it looks good.
Mickey Padge Posted January 13, 2009 Author Report Posted January 13, 2009 Thanks guys I have a V2 Blacksteel, it is with a certain watch expert for the best treatment a watch can hope for, so is my V1 ti Seawolf I don't think I will multi buy any other watch though, it's just that the Skylands are that good!
lanikai Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Ling, Ling and Ling ma man !! Nice choices to have when trying to decide what to wear today!
Mickey Padge Posted January 13, 2009 Author Report Posted January 13, 2009 Ling, Ling and Ling ma man !! Nice choices to have when trying to decide what to wear today! Indeed! If I remember correctly you have a few multi dial buys too, no? I should add that the blue dial is vaclumed, and glows real nice, although the V1 AR is not quite so effective, as you can see in the pictures....
hackR Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 nice hat-trick!... i have the grey dial with black rubber... been thinkin of a blue dial with dark blue/navy leather with white stiching...that, i think, would look sharp... R-

Raymo Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 I love these photos, what a set to have. What would the Black dial look like on the Croc ? I'm considering this combo, could you post a pic please? Cheers
By-Tor Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 They're all sweet indeed! Blue is my favorite (as usual)!
jonthebhoy Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 Nice little collection there MP. I've noticed a significant renaissance in the Breitling reps since I came back and I can see why judging by these examples. JTB PS - aren't "manly reflections" quite de rigeur these days?
Mickey Padge Posted January 17, 2009 Author Report Posted January 17, 2009 Thanks guys, although the blue dial is now gone, off to a new home over the pond! Raymo, there is a picture of the black dial on the croc strap in my first post If you search my posts you will find other photos too I think.... As for manly reflections being par for the course, maybe so..... I would be all for it, if it were womanly reflections without doubt

eunomians Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Can you recommend a source for Skyland leather straps? Cheers
Mickey Padge Posted January 26, 2009 Author Report Posted January 26, 2009 Sure, I always find the genuine straps on ebay.de to be great value, although not for me any more with the weak
eunomians Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a shot Best regards, Euno
Mickey Padge Posted January 26, 2009 Author Report Posted January 26, 2009 Both the croc straps pictured and the blue calf strap I mentioned, plus the gen deployant buckle, all came from ebay.de As Sterling is more or less 1:1 with the Euro now, I haven't looked for a while though...... Cheers!
