add46.88 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Hi, I'm about to purchase a new watch and i've decided its got to be all black:) Could anyone recommend me the more accurate all black replicas out there? I like a sporty looking watch no larger than 44mm Budget is around $500 .. thanks!
donpedro Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Hublot Big Bang all black! Breathtaking in person, pics don't do it justice. Cheers!
wheaton26 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 simple, a breitling blacksteel skyland avenger v2 ...
TeeJay Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I'd suggest a PVD-coated Omega Aqua Terra... With the tuxedo dial, it looks the business
add46.88 Posted February 8, 2009 Author Report Posted February 8, 2009 thanks they do look stunning but i've seen those for $700+...really cant stretch my budget to that Hublot Big Bang all black! Breathtaking in person, pics don't do it justice. Cheers!
alexsedlex Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Rolex Pro Hunter series ? all PVD, the SD is water proof to 100 meters, below 500$ and then you can do a nice review
Guest farquar Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 This is what Id call all black Long live Flavor Flav! (Although he is not around here nomore )
Watchmeister Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Another vote for the Skyland V2. It even has the correct aesthetic and composition black coating.
RobbieG Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 I gotta vote for the Blacksteel as well. Plus not as fragile as PVD which is one sucky thing about PVD coatings. When you get the slightest scratch on PVD you can see it and it is there forever and a day...
phaedo Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 This is what Id call all black Long live Flavor Flav! (Although he is not around here nomore ) Or go for the same but without the PVD
Bizzon Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I am a big fan of the Bell & Ross Instrument BR-02. Lanikai recently posted a review, concluding it is a great buy. http://www.rwg.cc/members/BR-02-92-ST-1000-Mac-t89040.html He reviewed the SS one but the PVD is available. Its on my short list for 2009.
fotoman Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 phaedo - the original inspiration for the Panerai 666
phaedo Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 phaedo - the original inspiration for the Panerai 666 Always liked your one, but alas you had long since sold it when I asked about it, but then when Flav was building them a few months ago I jumped at the chance to pick one up. Lume not as good as I would like, but merely because it is black lume. Although i may have to wear it more often, I never get the nice watch comment by people, but I did finally get a comment on how cool it was by a cute brunette at a party last weekend.
