Watchmeister
It is always wonderful to identify another resource for the membership. But I am always somewhat cautious. Please let us know to what extent this repair person has done work directly for you or other members and what was the result.

Stephane
I'm with Kruzer here, lets be prudent in posting publicly such statements But as I know Rosnik, I will take his advice as trully trustable. If on top, he is a good friend of Yello, the we should be even more safe. I will contact the Dmuit, and finalise my SnowFlake with him...we'll see what come out. Grazie mille! Tanti auguri, Stephane

yellomen
Domenico did some amazing work for me and i can recommend him as an excellent watchmaker. He only speaks German, so make sure you can find a way to communicate with him. When it comes to the quality of his work and his speed i am completely positive (see my signature)

KB
Ok with the support coming from the senior members this is looking like another great option for all the EU guy's. I suppose the best thing here would be for all those that have had work done by Domenico to post here about the results. Ken

Star69
here 2 examples i found: "lifting" of the hole date-assembly of the Asia 7750 : installing a gen DW in an ETA-1680 : his English is sub-optimal but maybe he will join the GTG in Brussels. cheers, Frank
By-Tor
Sounds really good. There is a huge demand for a EU-based watchsmith. It's a small miracle that nobody ever came forward to fill that big gap. It has good potential, financially as well. Let's hope he's as good, reliable and consistent as you guys say. The communication sounds a bit problematic though (if he doesn't speak English). When you perform mods, repairs, anything... it's very important that both parties completely understand eachother. yellomen
The work Domenico did for me: - longer canon pin installed on low beat ETA in my FrankenDJ - longer canon pin in IWC Ingenieur so the hands would have a decent distance from the dial - installed correct datewheel in IWC Ingenieur - installed genuine IWC 7750 in IWC 3717 - installed genuine IWC dial and replaced markers in IWC Ingenieur chronograph - graphite threatment on IWC Ingenieur chronograph - service of asian 7750 on IWC Cousteau Divers And here's a photo of two of these babies

im2
interesting....but how can we deal with him in english? Would he understand the rehaut? The trim of the crown guards? Or the translation will make him think that we want him to .....trim an knights templar ? ( = the crown guards...)
Watchmeister
interesting....but how can we deal with him in english? Would he understand the rehaut? The trim of the crown guards? Or the translation will make him think that we want him to .....trim an knights templar ? ( = the crown guards...) IMHO, the answer is that you should not be doing much of anything unless you or a fellow member is fluent in one of the smith's two languages. But I am sure that other members will help each other out as appropriate.
Mickey Padge
Just don't try and communicate via babelfish, or you could end up in big trouble!
