jitai Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 I think Mrbrown posted in the vip trade are at RG. beautiful piece.
Guest Sql_pl Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Some pics here would also be appreciated... especially after all the fuss....
Mickey Padge Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Here is a picture from the repgeek sale: I will remove it if requested..... $1200 for the modified watch, so $600 for the plate and craftsmanship, and $600 for a stock cartel RBII..... I would love to buy the plate, but not for the same cost as the watch, looks good though A real shame he did not share some high resolution, detailed pictures and measurements of the plate, so others could re-create, as he is not doing any more....
Jkay Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Well I have to admit that all APs look exactly alike to me. Where is the hand-worked mod plate in this photo??
Mickey Padge Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Look at the gears and screws under the dial, all pretty much placed where the gen would have them...... Stock RBII reps have just a metal plate under the dial, with a few rough circular swirl marks
Guest Sql_pl Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Whoa that looks great! I think he should offer just the plate. Of course not for $600 but for reasonable price it would sell like hot cakes. Now that one was done and the path is ready it should not be that much of a problem....
Chronus Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 Whoa that looks great! I think he should offer just the plate. Of course not for $600 but for reasonable price it would sell like hot cakes. Now that one was done and the path is ready it should not be that much of a problem.... Great plate! Now how to fix the date being "cut off" by the tachymetre scale?
Neuuubeh Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 Does the gear move, or is it simply glued there (as some suggested before)? Also, i cant make it out, does the plate have the Geneva waves decoration? Looks like it but maybe my eyes are lying
ubiquitous Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 Maybe a temporary lapse of insanity for me... But I would buy that. Nevermind the fact that: 1) The secs@12:00 7750 is a bit of a time bomb 2) The RBII has never really appealed to me 3) Any/all ROOs don't fit my wrist quite right I am feeling a strong level of attraction to it.
ExtraExtra Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 Mr Brown - sell the decorated plate please No need to hassle your end of putting this together. Let us DIYs get the enjoyment of modding it.
fitipaldi2 Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Does the price ($1200) include a service for the watch? I mean: watch+service+plate mod= $1200? thanks
arrowax Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 I believe so..I think he mentioned it in one of his earlier post
Jkay Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Higher up in this thread, it says the OP sold the watch on RepGeek and decided to NOT make any more.
rogerthat Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 It is for sale on repgeek He has not responded to his thread there either so who knows if sold

archibald Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 Can't wait to see it. Best of luck with the project. I am redoing my one AP Franken project as I write this. There's going to be some great AP's around here! My smith is putting the finishing touches his blue dial, correct case EOD and beginning work on both kruzer's and my white dialed themes. Edit: The RB sounds great...but will it ever be seen? 1
