The fat 2mm springbars are gen spec and should be used with these watches. He included the small ones in case the bracelet is used for non gen spec subs. There are people out there who say the smaller springbars in general, will wear out-and elongate the lugholes in watches. I definitely would use the larger 2mm bars with your TC watch.

I understand MD is in mourning for a family member. Why not try one of the other respected watch techs on the forums like Katt? I'd suggest Vaccum but for something simple like this, you probably don't want to wait 3 months. He's a busy man.

I tried to broker a deal with Steve about 3 years ago for a blue Tudor insert that he sent me pics of. He wanted $600 for it. I contacted a seller out of Germany with a cold email I found on vrf asking if by chance he had one. He sent me pics of one with a price of $300. It was the same insert. I asked him if someone else had by chance contacted him about it and if so I'd give him what they offered. He said he had but that the person hadn't responded yet so he would. Bought it for $250. Mulholland was the other guy. He was trying to net a $350 profit as a middleman. A week later I contacted him to see if he still had it. He told me no as his source didn't have it anymore but he could get another for the same price. I told him it was ok as I was the one who had purchased it from his "source" for the same price he was going to get it for. He responded that he didn't think that was right of me. My response was a simple one liner: I didn't think a $350 profit was either." Never contacted that schmuck again.

I'm born in the 70'S but I grew up listening to The Who, Led Zeppelin, Journey, Boston, Bad Company, The Beatles, David Bowie and Pink Floyd. I always tried to get into the Stones but for some reason they never "grabbed" me that much for some reason. But of course they're highly respected, and rightly so. I've seen them live too (in the 90's). And yeah... going back there I recall that Meat Loaf's "Bat out of Hell" was one of the kickass albums of the 70's. It was not "cool" to dig Meat though. Dunno why... "Bat" was pure genius.
