  1. If that's King -> i will marry her NOW!
  2. Does anyone know if Neil can still source this watch? : ...cause Neil doesn't seem to know...
  3. check: http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Mens-Explorer-II...1QQcmdZViewItem
  4. Hi stilty, Did you actually brought in contact the soldering iron tip with the cyclops (or crystal itself) ? Or did you just moved the soldering iron very close to the cyclops (close enough to heat it) ? (stupid question maybe but to my experience the soldering iron does not deliver its heat much further than it's own tip...)
  5. I STROGLY second on that. IT's an issue that i have mentioned in the general section when there was a discussion about misrepresentation. How do you the dealers (or some of the dealers) expect the buyers not to complain about their purchases when you don't present the version of the watches you currently are carrying? IF you cannot do that then inform everyone that they MIGHT get what they see they MIGHT not. But enough with this, it's an issue the the dealers themselves can easily figure out. On the Explorer II now: I don't know if it's a very difficult watch to replicate. But almost all versions are innacurate comparing to the genuine. Some of them with really bad flaws. Same goes for the GMTII (pre-2006) imo... The only near perfect version i have seen was this (except the date font): go figure....
  6. Who has pictures of King? i want to see her Ruby as well
  7. 1 minute off per day is too much for this movement imo... Have it checked-adjusted by a watchsmith if you can.
  8. New Album from Mick and his company called "STAY". Fans will enjoy this album! Probably one of their best albums ever. They came back (did they ever left?), and this one you shouldn't miss it if you already liked 'em... Reminds me the days of "Stars". Will hit the streets on 12 March 2007. I'm currently listening to it (MP3 downloaded)...
  9. I consider yours as a broken automaton :p
  10. A google search gives to me lots of G series ladies watches except from that one... I really don't know where else to find a picture of this (if it exists as a gen). Nice watch indeed but carefull with it because some ladies don't like "fat" profiled watches and this one doesn't look so thin from the side...
  11. I am not sure about what "kind" of laws exist in my country concerning counterfeit products. I assume that there is a violation to import such products in the country. What i am sure is that there is no organized research on a regular basis to spot such products either importing 'em or using (wearing, carrying) them. I've "heard" that IF the customs happen to open a package that contains counterfeit products you MIGHT be in problems in case you are the destination of the package...not confirmed though... But living so many years here i can assure you that almost nobody gives a s**t about counterfeit products (at least clothing, accessories like bags or watches). I strongly believe that the worse thing could happen from the Greek customs "catching" a counterfeit product is to confiscate it and probably keep it for their use... There *is* absolutely NO organized goverment or police team that runs around looking for my fake watch or my wife's fake bag to seize it and apply a fine... Good thing? Not always.... (Edited for typos)
  12. I am in no way the person who criticises oher people decisisons, especially when we speak about personal taste here. I just participate in the discussion by posting my "personal" opinion on the subjects... That's why i said : "enjoy your new gen dial". It's simply a move that i wouldn't do with my (older version) smp... I just wanted to participate in the topic by expressing my opinion which can be wrong after all...but that's what a forum is meant to be -> a collection of ideas and opinions. No? Cheers, have a nice day and enjoy your reps.

    Another One...

Tnx for the good words guys Nevertheless i can find much more flaws on this that you may didn't notice... some of them: 1) GMT hand of course has wrong triangle (black edge too thick as you noticed) but also has WRONG COLOR... The red color is very deep red, not the red color tone that you see on the gen. 2) All dial markers are glued TOO CLOSE to the minute line markers. This results on the following "super flaws" : The 6 o'clock marker almost touches the "Swiss Made" writing which is wrong. The 12 o'clock triangle marker shouldn't be so close to the minute markers above it. That results to a greater space between the 12 o'clock triangle marker and the rolex crown printed on the dial. 3) I am not sure if the "r0lex oyster perpetual date explorer II" writings are of the correct size overall. 4) I am not sure if the crystal perimeter (at the points where it meets the case) should be like this. Something wrong cathes my eye there... 5) Dial markers -> are these black or silver? :p Sometimes (under certain lightning conditions and angles) look black, other times look semi-silver semi-black Otherwise a nice looking watch
  14. Well, this is the most "confused" rep i ever bought...(i always wanted an expo II but i was never pulled the trigger up to now. Why? who knows ) I'm the most confused owner too ... Should i be happy with this purchase or not...? Well i am half happy and half dissapointed..but the fact is that i wear this watch while writing this, so i guess the balance bends to the "it's OK" side Well, don't be afraid to criticise this...It can handle everything after the criticism it got from me. Many flaws here, not the best model we got from the far east but at least has a gentle and good heart (2836-2) so i'll be nice with it. Let's see: Daylight-cloudy-indoors-no flash-tripod-macro mode-self timer. front... front again... back...(the model number writings have already left us...) Crown, crown guards and rehaut... Room lighting only, for the next ones... (light bulbs) Let's reveal the writings on the dial... (take the hands out of the way) Another "rehaut" point of view Nice angle here... Clasp, etc.... All flaws revealed in this high resolution pic...(looks bad huh? read below ) And last but not least, this is a picture taken with Normal focal length (50mm) which is as you probably now the nearest approach to what our eyes see in reality. Camera distance from the watch was about 38cm which is just the distance you have between your eyes and wrist everytime you do a time check Looks nice from that distance, no? If it only had a correct GMT hand....................
  15. The picture was bad (good excuse huh? )
  16. oops i didn't know that...I had in mind my SMP which i guess belongs to the older versions... They constantly fail to follow any standards huh ?
  17. since the verdict dind't came out yet -> it's a rep with milled crown guards imo.
  18. I discovered this model few weeks ago (i have limited interest on Tag reps -> that was before ). I must admit that i tried too much to find any flaws on this rep...I didn't find any, maybe there are but i didn't find 'em... It's on my wishlist. Wear it well !
  19. Except the poor lume of the rep (which is something that can be noticed only at night), i wouldn't spend money on changing the dial. The dial of the rep is almost perfect to me... There are bigger flaws on the SMP like the wrong crown guards, wrong pearl and wrong He valve placement which are screaming "rep" to an experienced eye. The dial is the last part that needs to get better. Only my opinion though, so....enjoy your new genuine dial
  20. scored 14/16 means 2 out of 16 can fool me? Argh, i just came here for rep watches not rep women Meanwhile let's all welcome OUR new dealer
  21. - There are sellers who sell watches that are different in details compared to those on their pictures. - There are also sellers who give detailed descriptions for their watches but you may receive a watch that fails to comply with one or more details of its initial description. - There are also sellers who never update the pictures of many models they sell, although the factories make these watches somewhat in a different way than they had done it in the past (at the time that the seller posted the pictures of the specified watch). What can you do for this?
  22. Those dial markers simply don't exist on the rep...
