probably the model with the longest life-cycle.
There's even a DB9 too
I know I should, being British and all, but the new models don't move me - there's too much of the Premiership footballer about the AM marque these days. The vintage models are something else of course, but if I had the money, mid-life crisis and impotence, then I'd be tempted to favour the Maserati Granturismo.
44mm PAMS take a 24mm strap.
Yes. The 'size' is just the length of the (two-part hence X/Y) strap - depends on whether he has a large or small wrist. Average 7" wrist is fine with the standard 115/75 length.
Well as I thought, the last two he sold went for approx. $500. Nice little money-spinner even for a 1:1 reverse-engineered copy. At least NDT is honest about ripping you off, no claims of "genuine" cases.
Lack of registration controls in Belgium + money + no taste.
Thing is if he ever loses/sells/writes off the car, he'll be stuck with a plate that just won't suit any other car.
Why DB anyway? Why not JB? Go for the full cheese factor of 10.0
Sorry it's a tiny flaw that just grates - like finding out Gisele eats snacks in bed (she does apparently )
One of my (old-enough-to-have-bought-from-new) neighbours has an original '65 DB5 stashed away - not in the famous Thunderball 'battleship grey' though, jet black, very cool
I love the car - just behind the 300SL Gullwing in terms of innovation and aesthetics. But the guy in Brussels just kills it with that hideous and cheesy plate. Probably a restoration job also. Not that many originals in private hands.
It's only counts as recycling when you actually put the stuff outside in a little green box for collection. Now about 'recycling' that 2006 CD Lani....
No, close though, His role model. The Austrian bed-wetter himself
I honestly don't know what to make of this thread. Slightly bizarre. Reminds me of the old joke about the guy who goes to see his doctor complaining of excruciating pain. "When do you get this pain?" asks the doctor. "When I wrap my arm around the back of my neck and jerk my elbow up violently" says the patient. He leaves 2 minutes later, cured.
True, and I know Andy has some great NOS bits and pieces. But HK is also flooded with other items in this market, so one must view everything with suspicion. Even here in London, where I can pick up a Mk II 1665 or NOS straight-secs 1655 without breaking sweat in terms of sourcing, these bracelets are hard to come by, so I'm not buying that HK is awash with them.
Quite Euno. I mean there's no way in hell that is gen. Look at the stamping, the condition. It's not even NOS it's more like SORFPLOS. Of course he says it's gen, who can prove otherwise? However before you all wet your pants at the thought of a nice 1:1 vintage bracelet, I'll bet this is not available on the open rep market, as it is clearly a big money spinner for the makers/dealers. I'll bet they can make $350-500+ on these 'replacement' bracelets.
Exactly, a win-win situation
Not only do you get help in dealing with the psychological impact of your 'condition' but you get to associate the 'clearing out' process with health benefits.
(note to self: those bloody shrinks have it made!)
Lani, don't think of it as losing/getting rid of them, but as giving them a new home where they will be cherished and worn more than they are now. The only thing that is stopping you is the collector/OCD/hoarder mentality. I can help you with that
Great pics thanks Italiano, hope you didn't sweat too much with the exertion of taking them in the heatwave
Aaargh, just tried on the gen the other day - was offered an amazing deal (almost a 1000 /.€ off RRP) but passed safe in the knowledge this beauty was out. I STILL much prefer the Mk I SLR (please god let them rep that properly) but this is growing on me.
Thanks for stepping up M
That franken is still amazing, the case, THAT c.1030
There's a certain gen on 'you know where' (*cough* 320257604617 *cough*) that's listed at 80,000
