  1. Well, I'm glad you like you watch and wear it well. At the same time, I feel sorry for you because the Panerai bug has bitten another person and soon you'll find yourself with a lot less money and many more watches.
  2. I bought a 1 year old Submariner a few years back and it was in like new condition and I had to work with the guy a little bit, but I got it for $3350 shipped. From what I have seen you can expect to pay around $1000 less than actual cost if you buy a nice 1 year old used watch. Panerai tend to be a little higher for used watches, I've typically paid around $500-1000 less than the new (not MSRP) price for a 1 year old watch, less for a 2 year old watch (F when H was released). As always there are exceptions to the rule, but like was mentioned look around TimeZone or Watch Net for better prices from personal sellers. Good luck and remember the search is 80% of the fun.
  3. @ veni12, nice post. You can add: Watch Prince - decent straps and many other items (tools, winders, etc...). HM-Watchband - No experience, but heard from people they have nice straps. I noticed you left someone off the list, but I won't mention him either......
  4. Thanks for the re-post, it is an interesting read. Glad you brought it up here, some people are new and might have not been there before.
  5. Kilnk you might have to edit your signature, since Elliot gives/gave HK mucho crap for selling to us. Also, I don't think exposing another person's IP is a nice thing to do and telling Offshore off is not the sign of a nice person either.
  6. Elliot, well, I'm a moderator here. So, should I start to treat our "guest" here as your mods do on VP and post IP addresses and edit their posts? I would also like to add that this site is more Offshore's than your site. He has many friends here, where as you are still building your "customer" base. @CJ, I didn't take offense to the fact that VP didn't want reps on their site. The e-mails and threats were because we were members of both VP and RWG. We weren't trying to sell any reps and there was also a person who tried to sell a genuine watch on VP and has their offer deleted. There was also another member who was trying to sell some of their straps who had their offer deleted. So, I'd say VP is overly aggressive toward our hobby and those who post here. IP bans and all....nice group.
  7. That's the exact thing I was thinking. We all know how Panerai are, but now we really can tell. How do you like your strap? It looks soft. Is it pliable?
  8. And watch envy too.
  9. Bump. It looks like this project is rapidly moving along, thanks to all those who have responded.
  10. Do I need to chime in here? Oh wait, everyone knows how I feel about this subject. I agree a man should stand by his convictions, Elliot doesn't agree, he stands by where the money pot is and is back peddling to recover lost funds (he will never admit this though).
  11. Black on black, can't go wrong there. Nice looking strap, it looks like you have a few straps.
  12. Willith

    Big ones

Very cool looking with the distressed straps too. I like the background you chose too.
  13. Nice looking watch. I like the shark straps on the submersible line, it just seems fitting.
  14. Those are all genuine. It's pictures from a Panerai GTG. I don't have anymore pictures of the fleece jacket, that was just the prize table people won in the raffle they had. I think everyone got 2-3 prizes. Can anyone pick out my Panerai in the picture?
  15. Do you see anything you like? I know my photo skills suck, but it was hard enough holding the camera still with so many goodies close by. Panerai Group Shot, which watch(es) are (were) mine?: Panerai Prize Table: These are from the VP Chicago GTG back in June.
  16. Darn, no longer length straps. I thought you were a 120/80ish guy too. Oh well, damn my big wrists.
  17. :sorcerer: Happy Birthday! You also have PowerMax too on the same day, now that is a present! :sorcerer:
  18. Exactly what I was thinking. I think veni12 wears the longer length straps too. So, let us know when you REALLY get tired of those 24/22 straps. Unless you have a bunch of a certain person's straps, then you can sell those to others, I'll take all the rest.
  19. Is this Clive? I know he's a GMT fanatic too, I too like GMT watches since I travel a lot. The problem is most GMT watches don't have a chronograph, thermometer, 5 alarms, world time, barometer, etc...
  20. I had one of these a few months back and it was a nice watch for the price (got mine from eBay). I didn't like the touch screen because it left fingerprints on it all the time. I'm one of those people who polish the crystal on my watches all the time. I didn't like the feel of the bracelet, it felt cheap and on a $400+ watch it should have been better. I did end up with the cheap Casio ProTrek PRG-80L, much bigger display and has more functions, I beat the hell out of it too, so for the price it works well. As for a t-touch rep, I have seen one, but for the cost you might as well get a real one on eBay or TimeZone. I can tell you it was a cool watch, but the novelty of it wore off quickly. I got the Casio because for my job I might one day find myself lost and then the functions would really be nice to have. I also hike and it helps, but it's not as accurate ad a real compass and the altimeter works on barometric pressure and temp, so it's not that accurate (I was on the beach and it said I was at -100'?). Good luck and I hope you can find one.
  21. We're all pretty much starting over, call it a fresh start on a familiar site name.
  22. Welcome, glad you made it here and hope you enjoy the new site.
  23. I brought my "new" old one, I could dig up my old old one, I don't want to break the rules already. Welcome, trunk (tree), glad you found us (finally). Hope to see you more now that you made it to the correct site.
  24. Welcome buddy, glad you made it. This is RWG, see the watches above, we're working on them now.
  25. Now is that really an even trade? You can keep the live version of your avatar Klink, looks a little less friendly than r11co's. @r11co, Welcome and glad you made it to the party.
