  1. Great looking combo. Thanks for sharing.
  2. If I can get myself one of these then I can sell off one of my smaller strap cases. I've only seen these FS a few times in the past and they go very quickly, so you have to act fast when you see one.
  3. I didn't know Panerai was making a rectangular version.
  4. That looks great. It reminds me of my Anonimo Polluce. Any chance on getting some 22mm buckles done in that finish? I would be interested on getting a few of those.
  5. I wonder what they use for lubricants...... They are lucky that customs didn't catch that or they would be doing DNA testing on 1 billion people to find that one worker.
  6. Congrats! Great to see the "old man" is still kicking around. It's where I first got scolded by TTK and it's been the same ever since.
  7. A lot depends on your taste, what is your taste? If you like "tool" watches I would recommend these brands: Enzo Bathys Ocean 7 Oris Glycine Ball Tissot You can get new watches for the price you are looking for. If you want a genuine, but 2nd hand, check out all these watch forums: Time Zone Watch U Seek They have a great selection of 2nd hand watches in the price range you are looking at. What I might buy for that price and what you may buy are different things or they could be the same thing.
  8. I think #'s 7 & 9 have been discussed recently in the admin section, especially #9.
  9. I reported the guy on TZ, it looks like this guy has a whole 1 post there, so it just screams scam.
  10. Here's a PT offer for a HBB ceramic bezel: PT's HBB Bezel Here's one one Time Zone FS: TX Offer for HBB Bezel Now, does anyone see anything familiar about these offers. I can give you a hint it's not the $500 difference in price. So, this dude on TZ, does he need busted?
  11. This must be the new upscale prices they are offering after the HBB ceramic line, I guess it's all about profits. Yes, if you can afford to pay ~$900K for a rep, then $30 shipping would be a drop in the bucket (or bathtub).
  12. Great watches and pictures! Thanks for sharing.
  13. All day long when I wear them. I find myself playing with my manual wind watches a lot when I wear them and wind them a lot too. As mentioned earlier, there's nothing like manually winding a watch, it's a great feeling.
  14. Wow, nice to see someone support the forum this way! I also wanted to thank TT for such a great gesture and offering up his nice watches.
  15. So, were you tempted to bid her a nice day and walk out wearing the watch? I'm willing to bet there were cameras all over you and maybe a sniper too. Great story, too bad you didn't have a camera to document this moment.
  16. I got the same message. I guess I'm a little too late. On a side note I live about 2 hours from Vancouver, so I guess I could make a trip and see this watch is person, what was the price?
  17. You are a better watch smith than I am, when I try to put those stupid movement brackets back in I need a pair of tweezers, magnet and a glass of water (keeps my mouth moist while I cuss a lot). Nice work and it's great your screwdrivers came in handy.
  18. Now that looks like a vintage "tool" watch. Nice work, hopefully you don't cut yourself on some of those ragged edges.
  19. My collection is mostly divers, but I do have a few aviation models mixed in too. I'm not sure where the Panerai fit in because they are of dive heritage, but don't really meet the criteria that most think a diver needs, so I will just call them a socialite group. Here's my current collection in no real order: PAM090 PAM111 Rolex GMT II Omega PO (biggin') Omega X-33 (2nd gen) Oris Carlos Coste Sinn U2 CX Swiss Military 12,000' Bathys Benthic (S-B-R) Bathys 100 Fathoms (black) Breitling Aerospace Casio Pro Trek (PRG80L) (high end stuff) Citizen Ti EcoZilla Aninimo Polluce (black & bronze)
  20. Welcome and thank you for sharing your collection with us. Read around and I'm sure you will soon find your collection growing and your knowledge as well.
  21. Nice copy of a find. It was a cool video though, thanks for sharing.
  22. The dial looks good, nice work. You need to beat up the case a little bit now or were you going for the NOS look?
