  1. The Aquatimer that is being released is NOT a Cousteau. It is an Aquatimer Chrono. While it is on all the dealers' sites, it's not out yet, hence the lack of price. The 2007 Cousteau is a different watch all together. This is not a Cousteau:
  2. How to install a NATO Strap on your watch. First, you need to make sure you have your old strap removed but the springbars in. Next, you unloop the NATO strap from the loose keeper like so ... ... and feed it through the top springbar ... ... like so. Continue looping the loose end through the bottom springbars, coming out at the front of the watch. As you can see, this is now looking like it's installed. Loop the loose end through the bottom keeper ... ... to bring the whole thing together. This is now complete. The watch is installed on the strap. Put the watch on your wrist as you would a normal strap ... ... feeding it through the first top keeper ... ... and then the second. Then, fold the loose end back upon itself and push it under the top-most bit. This keeps the loose end nice and secure. No loose ends. Wear it well.
  3. I bought a replica cape from Kenberg. He promised he'd not tell ...
  4. I assume my Steelfish (From Precious Time, never opened) is waterproof. I wear it as if it is.
  5. Spooooonz, step away from the drug paraphernalia and put down the keyboard!
  6. At this point mere mortals would start creating a story of how the watch was stolen off their desk and how it's gone forever. Then again, I don't think mere mortals get into watchmaking.
  7. I require AR on a rep only if the gen has it. You don't hear people complaining about the lack of AR on rep Subs, for instance.
  8. Rob and I have come to an agreement, so I'll be learning how to relume shortly. I'll then have to consider offering my services, which the amount of PMs I'm getting tell me I should do. I'll get some T&Cs written up to cover me from breaking other peoples' watches, but having seen the results of some of our supermodders, I don't think I'll have too many problems matching acceptable quality. In a few decades, I'll be nearly as good as The Zigmeister was when he was just starting out. ps. Anyone got a spare MBW 1680/1665 dial for me to practice on? pps. Don't even consider asking about cannon pinions as I simply don't have the tools or the parts. ppps. Don't flood me with PMs asking for work. We're not there yet.
  9. Um, I just it it well, pointed the camera at it, took the pics and did my usual photoshop, maybe a bit more crystal-treatment than usual. The only mods I've done are the day and datewheel replacements with genuine ETA parts. Here's another photo to show the AR on it is good: As always, click for 1280px wide version
  10. And I'll be installing them on my Aquatimer when they're released.
  11. Oh, I guessed.
  12. The first step is admitting you have a problem ... (It's ok, step 5 or 6 is getting another watch, so you're safe here.)

  14. Proper perpetual calendars? No, there are none.
  15. The collective WISness here vs dealers that want you to spend their money with them ... not a hard choice.
  16. Looks good!
  17. This rep movement is based on the Asian 7750 and has only one barrel. We've been waiting for this for a while now.
  18. Um ... I just read The Zigmeister's articles and try it myself. I'm not that good really.
  19. No dust? That's because I used Joe
  20. With recessed dates?
  21. The gen is not a 7750. It's a 7753 and the 7753 has a quickset button at 10-o-clock that Breitling don't use. So, it can be a gen 7750 with the Asian cogs to make it a 7753-alike, but it's debatable. Why put a gen 7750 in with the crappy mods? Oh, and Navitimers don't have AR, iirc.
  22. Hang on, is this the first sign of the much-flouted 8-day rep 7750 or is it a gen pic?
  23. No need to obfuscate links here. http://www.ioffer.com/i/27283506
  24. This is not where this info is coming from. The information presented here is extrapolated from several ISP's edge caches. Nothing to worry about, move along.
