  1. This coming from the World Police? We're surely free to express an opinion, no?
  2. Plonk!
  3. I am aware of Nous Defions (I'm french/english bilingual) and its role in your military, but I never got your misspelling. Now I do, thanks.
  4. I'm going to have to ask. What is the pun with your name Nouns Defions? I don't get it, but is it to do with defiant words?
  5. This is of course total and utter [censored]. Only outlaws ... and law-enforcement officers, security personnel, pest controllers and the military will have guns. You can spot who the criminals are and shoot them dead as they'll be the ones carrying guns.
  6. You assume that 'white' is a culture and that 'black' is the only alternative? Europe has a number of mostly white countries, each having their own language and culture. The UK has a large amount of non-black immigrants from Europe and Asia that have all brought their cultures with them.
  7. Anyone wanting to organise a UK/EU group buy would be better doing so without me. I've got the 4 ordered for the people I've mentioned and will not have the time to organise a second for quite some time.
  8. I love 'em, me.
  9. http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/cius_04/offenses_re...ime/murder.html These are the statistics. I'll point out that 75% of homicides were with illegal firearms. This means 25% were with legal weapons. However, massacres are almost exclusively with legal firearms: In a study of 65 high-profile multiple-victim shootings in the United States during 40 years, 62% of handgun shootings and 71% of long gun shootings were committed with legally acquired firearms
  10. Ah, selective statistics ... in 1996, we had a massacre at the hands of an unstable armed lunatic which brought the The Firearms (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1997 into being as the result of a public petition. Sincew then, statistics are much lower than your chosen 2002 figure; 97 firearm homicides in 2002, 50 in 2006. This is a significant decline in firearm homicides, in case you can't tell. The point about criminals having firearms is that you can use that to spot them. If someone is armed with a firearm, they're a criminal and using a gun in a crime will elevate it from a petty crime from a serious crime. Mere possession of a firearm will get you a mandatory minimum 5 years inside.
  11. Sorry for continuing to bring up the gun debate, but to separate this tragic event from the gun debate is impossible. We all know that everyone here is exceedingly sorry for what happened to the victims as it's human, and the way of dealing with it is to discuss it.
  12. No, it would merely change the body count. What happened was truly tragic and was only possible at this scale, like all the other school massacres, through the easy access to the tools with which to do it. I hope something like this never happens again, but I know it will. It may have nothing to do with guns, but when we had our own massacre in the UK, we changed our gun laws and have been lucky not to have had a repeat performance. Coincidence?
  13. New York: 19 million UK: 60 million I'll get back to the rest in a while, but I need to carry on unpacking.
  14. Robbing a granny with a plastic gun counts as gun crime. 2005-6 England and Wales firearm homicides: 50 2005-6 Scotland firearm homicides: 8 Seriously, this isn't a problem on the same level as the US.
  15. Happy Birthday, Big Fella! :bounce: :bounce:
  16. Thanks. James Toseland at Coppice (turn http://rwg.cc/uploads/emoticons/default_dirol.gif' alt='8)'>, Donington Park on April 1st, 2007. He was leading the race and was the eventual winner. The picture was taken with a lot of zoom from the public enclosure, through a wire fence.
  17. Maybe it's the violence coupled with guns and religion? There is no simple answer to why this happens and blaming it on any single factor does more harm than good. Too many people are eager to point fingers at their pet cause, as I did at the beginning of my reply, and all it does is divert the attention away from finding the real problem. It's difficult to say anything appropriate after something like this.
  18. SLR for sports? I still use my Panasonic FZ20 ... Yeah, I've still not got an SLR.
  19. Neat stuff and great pics. I may well upgrade to an ETA n00bie one day, as well.
  20. It removes the HTTP-REFERRER from the request so that if TZ trawl their logs for referring pages, they don't see RWG's URL. It's just a precaution to stay a little below the radar. So, yes, it works and serves a useful purpose.
  21. If you made a clickable link or pasted the images here, people would comment. I'll save you the bother.
  22. Rob, I'm sorry this didn't work out. Once again, you showed you were the better man. Shame no-one took me up on this bet. Of all the people to [censored] around, I'd have thought The Zigmeister would be most peoples' last choice. Has anyone seen Finepics?
  23. Here is a recessed date:
  24. Well, I like it and don't see it as at all ghoulish. A rep seems pointless, however.
