  1. You have to swim to work?
  2. Nice. I don't keep track on my reports as it doesn't change them. I'll make them even if they don't work too well.
  3. I wear one of a dozen watches, gen and rep and find that even my oldest, my Noobmariner, is still in decent condition. I rotate daily and have a dozen straps on my PAMs that I change enough to have decided to get those springbars that look like screws.
  4. It wasn't an attack. I tend not to overly embellish my speech when talking to most dealers as English isn't their first language and I don't want the message to get obfuscated in flowery prose. I have nothing against Angus, and I was merely suggesting that he be proactive in the QC issues on a watch he's charging $450 for when he's the exclusive dealer.
  5. I'm not attacking him, or at least I don't think I am.
  6. ... and Usil gave me and Ryyannon a pack of Cape Cod cloths. Usil also told me how to stop my Aquatimer 2000M from having a milky sapphire. "Clean the inside of the crystal" was his advice, and I acted upon it. It appears to have helped, too.
  7. I am not as familiar with you, obviously, but I am not naive. If you are selling watches coming off the factory defective, should we, the customers get you to fix it or should we petition the factory? The answer is obvious. We give you the money and you give us the watch. We have no contact with the watchsmith or the factory, so we can only ever contact you. If you want to act as the sole dealer in the transaction, you are 100% responsable. If it works, you'll be getting 100% of the profits and if it doesn't, you'll be getting 100% of the hassle. Don't pass the buck, you stand to do very well out of this if you sort it out. We're here to help you in this and future projects if you show us you can make it work.
  8. My wrist is 6.75" and I can wear anything up to and including a Panerai 1950. The Planet Ocean 45mm is a good fit on me, so it should be even better on 7.5"
  9. I hope you're not calling me French. I mean I've taken quite a knock to my credibility this weekend but at least no-one called me French.
  10. Mostly drivel, but I can live with that.
  11. Damn. ...er, I mean, woohoo! Nice work.
  12. Looks like you've found Watchpool. Those dots can probably just be cleaned. If not, you can, as you suggest, fix it with a relume. I doubt you'll find anyone else selling genuine dials, I'm afraid. Sometimes, however, the actual dial pictured isn't the one you get. He reuses pictures. For the record, I did get the one pictured here: And it went here: And ended up like this:
  13. Fedex for a replica? I thought it was well-known that Fedex would open packages just to make sure the right tax is being charged...
  14. At $450 a watch, he can hire less careless workers. That'd solve the problems. Remember, you're selling the watches, not the factory: The buck stops with you, I'm afraid.
  15. Yup, loud and clear.
  16. No, you don't and I don't expect you to have. Klink has been disappointed and apologetic about his actions towards me four times now. Should I set myself up for a fifth? I get on well with most of the admin team and respect them quite a bit, but if no-one can rein in Klink, I can't go back there to have his unwarranted attacks start up again. He's a liability to RWI and I hope you can do something to sort it out before others leave. Klink, I know you'll read this, and I hope you get something from it. Do the right thing: you know what it is.
  17. Actually, that's a very, very good point. Where were you guys?
  18. Most likely, but it depends on how you were going to resell them. Your best bet for resale value would be to replace the crystal with an OEM one and get that ARed. That way, if the eventual buyer complains, you can just pop the original crystal in and make it as-new.
  19. Well, some of those pics are of a gen ... ps. Your link needs fixing.
  20. I had a gen black PO on my wrist a fortnight ago and it looked nowhere near as obvious an AR coating as on my brother's orange. I reckon it's because of an optical illusion caused by orange being on the opposite side of the colour wheel to blue or something.
  21. Someone took him seriously enough to make him a moderator and you have to take moderators seriously otherwise the forum falls apart.
  22. The gen orange PO has apparently more AR than the gen black one, but I reckon this is an optical illusion.
  23. Here's a fansite: http://www.oysterquartz.net/
  24. The saying is "The love of money is the root of all evil", not money itself. I do believe that change for the better will happen and it's not because I posted, it's because everyone replied.
  25. Yup, I've had this four times now ... This is why I've given up.
