  1. Absolutely. It looks just as lumpy as the genuine. I love Breitlings, but not this one, just like I love IWCs but not the Inge. I know it's a matter of taste and I'll never call anyone stupid for liking it as some people with better taste than me seem to like it. Yes, it does look like we've getting some rich choices these days with this, the Carrera, the HBB, etc.
  2. That's the one I really like. It's the one I think I'll have to get.
  3. Websites and this forum make dealers money. Going back to shitty old methods that we evolved away from make them less money. Competition gave us the facility we have today and I think dealers now know that the next evolution in getting our money off us is to stop making [censored] up and conning us. If some dealers realise this and others don't, who are you going to give your money to? For instance, Josh has a lot to answer for over the appalling travesty that was Finepics's Bell and Dross, but he can easily correct that one and get back to being universally loved by the populace. It's his choice whether or not he wants our support and goodwill, and this goes for other dealers as well. We are their best advert, pointing n00bs in their direction for their first purchase (and you know what dealer loyalty is like) because of their simple websites and great service. Don't take this as an anti-PerfectClones rant, by the way. I like Josh, and he's got a great reputation. I'm using him as an example simply because of his blatant con B&R. Very bad form, Josh. Man up and sort it.

    I've answered you here.
  5. Now, that's what I'm talking about. Bravo, Jay.

Welcome back, Tony. Avoid mynewwatches.com as they're scammers. $895.00 is a rip-off price for this.
  7. Dasmn, just when this thread was dying down, too. Now sssh!
  8. It's a Maestro, but I think it's been discontinued.
  9. They both read the thread yesterday.
  10. Yes, but it's not been updated for about 5 years. On the internet, that's decades.
  11. ... and to revive this old, old thread, we finally have confirmation that Jack Valentine in Studio 60 is wearing a Daytona. The one I like, too, the git! On top of the Big Pilot seen before, that's two nice watches in one show.
  12. For those non-camera geeks, this is what bokeh is. It's one of the many things that can be used to aesthetically highlight your focus area, and a noisy background blur can cause confusion and yes, you can fix it in photoshop, but it's best to do as much as possible in the lens. Good lens, long focal length, super-wide aperture, low ISO. This is how best to do it. You'll see some of my shots will have a more pronounced bokeh than others, and that's done by moving the camera about a foot away from the watch and zooming in tight, effectively giving me a longer telephoto lens to knock out more blur. This flower is a good example. Instead of getting in close with a macro, I moved further away and used a 400mm equivalent telephoto at f2.8: ...anyway, I digress.
  13. She plays mean Bass...
  14. Yes, I'm scared.
  15. Click for immense 1920x1200 widescreen wallpaper! Click for 1280x800
  16. Like I'm in an Italian racing car in the 50s. Seriously, it's the sort of thing you'd wear when racing cars in nothing more protective than a cloth cap and goggles.
  17. Is it like this one, a very long short list?
  18. I'm English, so any language shortcomings are definitely at your end. We were talking about the quality of the blur, not the depth of field. I don't understand how you thought I was talking about DoF as the Depth of Field is the area of the picture, as in distance from the lens, that is in focus. The quality of the blur behind is determined by several factors, the less obvious of which are ISO and lens quality.
  19. From a photo?
  20. Nothing so complicated. A power reserve is a fuel gauge. It shows you how full your spring is.
  21. You'd pull off getting pulled off by security for questioning.
  22. Yeah, me too, thanks! (is he gone yet? Did anyone understand a word of that?)
  23. Stand further back, put the watch near a window and crop the picture afterwards. A small, clean picture in the middle of a large file is better than a huge blurred one.
  24. If you've not tried http://www.dpreview.com for reviews, I suggest you give it a go. It's the number one digital camera site.
