  1. There are two noticable flaws, and that's it. One is on the face and I'm loathed to mention it as I can't help but see it every time I look. It's the date-box is a little too far to the right, meaning the N of SCHAFFHAUSEN doesn't hang out underneath to the right. I'm at work without my tools and reference material so I can't show you precisely what I mean, but this is the kind of fault that cannot be helped and is really not noticable except by an expert. The other is the lume. I don't know why it has none but it doesn't bother me in the least. The last link is a different material because it's not a link; it's part of the clasp. The only problem with this watch is the bloody chrono second hand no longer returns to 12. I hear this is common for Asian 7750s, but it's getting annoying. It only started doing this this morning, so I'm planning on advancing the chrono a little at a time until it goes all the way round. It's at 7 seconds so far. Click, click, thunk. 7.25 now. However, all these faults cannot put me off it and I recommend it highly. I presume Precious Time still has some in stock.
  2. There's the Rolex Exploder 2 ...
  3. I bought one, it got killed by my cats, so I bought another, it got stolen, so I bought another. The cat-killed one got fixed, so we and my Missus have one each. She spends hours on Lumines, whereas I use mine for downloaded TV shows on the way to work. Oh, and Everybody's Golf, GTA3, Ridge Racer, Wipeout ... Obviously, I'm going to say they're good, but if you get one, get a 1GB memory card. you can fit a movie on 600-700MB in MPEG4 (h.264/aac). I'd not bother with buying movies on UMD unless you can afford it. I prefer to buy on DVD and convert.
  4. The fantasy Rolex GMT Master-II LV:
  5. You may have guessed I've discussed the Software Constraints thing before. I'll be wating for you on iChat the day they release the CAD stuff, or the day VirtualPC runs on Intel MacBooks.
  6. My Missus has an iBook and I have a G5 Tower. I don't understand these so-called software constraints. You have a need for CAD software or MS Project? Oh, unless you mean Games. Yes, I have a Wintendo PC for that, too.
  7. I never thought it wise to argue with moderators.
  8. As long as they're genuine, I suspect I'd survive.

    Motogp

Ducati 748 here. IMHO, that video doesn't show the best of the sport, but it shows loads of exciting stuff.
  10. Sure, but if I write a review, which of the many forums do I post it to? It should be on The Dark Side because that's where I bought the ticket from. Or maybe on TRC because this very same thread has a dozen more posts on it than here. Anyway, briefly, it's a fully-functioning chrono as the original watch uses a 7750 and this rep has the asian 7750@28k8, making it a functionally identical watch. It's small, but I dealt with the size here.
  11. I was hoping to get some pointers from him on how to take pics like that.
  12. Dude, you look like a chick.
  13. We have no great goalies. It doesn't appear to be in our blood.
  14. I'm an ex-graphic designer that moved to IT (UNIX/NT sysadmin) because it paid better. Does it show?
  15. Rather than use a Proxy you don't control, you can spoof the DNS by adding it to your hosts file which is in, iirc, c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts on Windows and /etc/hosts on MacOSX/UNIX. Add a line like this: 85.17.13.153 www.replicacollector.com replicacollector.com
  16. If it has 4 lines of text, it's an automatic. If it has 3, it's not. the extra line on the autos says CHRONOMETER
  17. I don't have anywhere near the right amount of watches, but I'll start a TTK-style pic, as a taster. On second thoughts, I'll reshoot it. It's too dark. Still, here it is:
  18. I too passed an Omega AD today and found it amusing all the cheaper Omegas were running and the expensive autos were all stopped.
  19. Yes there is. However, it's not your DNS that's badly configured. jearle@debaser$ host NS1.NOHOST.CC Host NS1.NOHOST.CC not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) jearle@debaser$ dig @85.17.13.153 www.replicacollector.com | grep CNAME www.replicacollector.com. 86400 IN CNAME replicacollector.com. As you can see (hopefully), The problem isn't your domain DNS not working, the problem is the DNS servers that host your domain not being configured right. The problem isn't you, it's the people managing your domain.
  20. Try me. I'll keep you waiting as long as you want. I'll be the cheapest dealer on the block, as long as you can wait until um, how about forever. Like an ETA LV Sub. I can do you one for $50, delivery in two-thousand-and-never.
  21. So, here's how it goes. I enter Precious Time's raffle, one of which has just started, and win. Amongst the choices is one of my dream watches. No contest, I had to have it. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present a pictorial of the IWC GST Chrono in Titanium.
