  1. Here's a question for all you Omeganauts out there. How much would a one or two year old orange Omega Planet Ocean (45mm) be worth? I can see they're about $2500 new, if you shop around, but I can't seem to find reliable second-hand pricing. Ideas?
  2. From my experience, they usually do.
  3. This is not true. We've had it refuted by many people who should know.
  4. Nah, your ideal camera would be the Leica M8: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/leicam8/ As for a Canon to replace your A80, have a look at some of the compacts at the top of this page: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/ There are a few that fit the bill, but not that shoot RAW.
  5. No-one's going to disagree with Phoband. That's an honest enough watch with a great movement. Sure, it could be fancier, but I like it and it's almost a bare case and dial with a 7750 in it, which I like.
  6. A guy in our London office has one and a friend of mine just bought one.
  7. Who? DANGER! Pictures of genuine watches, no knowing what you'll get.
  8. I suppose I wasn't alone in reporting it
  9. There are no Lemania replica movements. The Seagull ones are Poljot/Venus copies. Why do you think the subdial spacing is wrong on every single Moonwatch rep?
  10. Miyota movements are dirt cheap. Oh, and there are no Lemania rep movements.
  11. Firstly, which version of the Fiddy are you talking about? Every little factory in China will have a Fiddy, so they may only make 500 a year each, however it's most likely a lot more cases. The same fiddy case is used in these $500 superfiddies that is used in the $100 bargainfiddies. What you have to remember is break-even is exceedingly low in China. You need a run of merely 150-500 super-reps to make it profitable on Chinese wages and economy.
  12. We've been led to believe that at least 500 have to be made. Beyond that, I doubt we'll get an accurate figure as anyone keeping track is cataloguing their own criminal acts.
  13. Exif: # Camera Make = Canon # Camera Model = Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XT The 18-55mm lens can be reversed to be used as a Macro: Photo Tutorial - DSLR reverse Macro
  14. Reincarnated as "Posh" over on RepGeek.
  15. 100%? Firstly, first thing he'll see when he takes the dial off is the Asian GMT conversion. Under that, it should still be ETA.
  16. Excellent photos. I too am a recent DSLR convert. What I've learned: Oh, man, how I need a "Nifty Fifty" f1.4 50mm lens!
  17. A few weeks off work spent on the couch? Sounds ok to me. ps. Phew, you're going to be fine. Big relief.
  18. You've obviously never been to a Pizza Hut in Paris.
  19. The starter's Panerais are the 111 and 183. You can get good versions of these cheaply and expensively depending on how good you want them. Even the cheap ones can be good, though.
  20. Eh? Your firefox is being too zealous.
