  10. as long as the seal is in place then it should not need any epoxy, i have never used any on any of my watches, best place to start is to get it checked, there is no need to fix somthing that does not need fixing
  11. I have not sean one of these in the flesh yet but there is no reason that it may not be waterproof as long as all the seals are there, they are lubed and the crystal is pressed on propperly, I would advise that you find a local mall watch repairer (not and AD) and see if they can do a leak check for you, it will only cost a couple of $ and then you will know if it has any water resistance. I have a leack checker that i test all my watches on and i swim in the pool in mine and have not had a problem.
  12. Congratulations, a great watch to keep!
  13. Oh Bob folloing you advice here i managed to spill bourbon on my key board and spent 3 days over christmas with no M, no space bar and no control keys, you cost me €20 for anew key board, but hey that is better than €400 for a new net book i suppose. did you notice that my typing got worse????
  14. Olive oil would also be great and be less harmfull to your skin than weapons oils, i know for one that i hate the smell on my hands when i have been cleaning weapons all day
  15. Firstly You will know when a 6497 is full would as you will not be able to wind it any more, it is quite opviose as the crown will not turn any more The strap is attched with screws a 1.6mm screw driver is recomended And if your bracelet is any thing like mine the screws in the side are to adjust it, i would also check the screws on the back if the links are the old style as they can also be loose
  16. I think i have read that somewhere as well, keep us posted and let us know for sure please
  17. Ah ok does the tub on them take a gen crown, if so that is good news
  18. $460 is a bit over what we used to pay for an MBW but i would also say that looking back at the original pictures it is better than the MBWs that we got in the past, for one the lug holes are better and the dial coloring is also good Oh and the folded link bracelet! $460 is a bit over what we used to pay for an MBW but i would also say that looking back at the original pictures it is better than the MBWs that we got in the past, for one the lug holes are better and the dial coloring is also good Oh and the folded link bracelet!
