  1. In the past i have filed the feet of the CG but reading FGD's method i think that is a good method
  2. Keeping them dry was never my thing, i have only ever had one with water ingress and that was a speedmaster a long time ago, and lets face it the gen speedy was never much of a wet work watch.
  3. Health warning don't try this unless you are aware of what will happen if your watch fails! and you are capable of greasing you seals and carrying out a water resistance check before hand! Today i l took the plunge literally with my MBW double red that i wrote about here and i can report that it was fine the camera however did not fare so well at 3m as you will see on the last picture not that visible at this angle but then the camera failed Health warning don't try this unless you are aware of what will happen if your watch fails! and you are capable of greasing you seals and carrying out a water resistance check before hand!
  4. Thanks Guys, so if the MBW one is that bad then i may as well get one from josh etal and start with that as a project once i have done the 1680 and GW
  5. Very nice work again mate, I wish you would make these for sale!
  6. Oh my GOD, it looks just like the one on my wrist!!!!!!!!
  7. Did MBK/MBW ever make a GMT master version, looking at the large triangle GMT hand version in particular
  8. Enjoy your new watch mate,
  9. No new photos but i have just recessed the bezel insert just a touch after looking and pics all week, it is just enough to catch and hold a fingernail but the insert is still press in so i am happy with that. And i got yo use my lathe again!
  10. What was the GMT master hand stack and the 1655 was that not GMT/ HOUR/ MIN/ SEC
  11. I think a rolly 1675 would be a nice watch or the black dial OMEGA GMT with out the hE valve
  12. Thanks for taking the time Manu, nice watch
  13. The movement will fit into the spacer rather than the other way round where the spacer will sit on top of the movement with the open end up.
  14. UBi 2893 date wheels are raised like 2836 ones because of the GMT parts
  15. Ok a propper service may help a little as the oil will reduce play just a little and stop a bit of back lash but it would not guarantee it.
  16. The gen dial makes the date wheel look higher as well, nice watch
