  1. The rest of the watch is still keeping good time? Sounds like the date change wheel is slipping or not seated correctly, I had this on a 2892 that was servicing, the intermediate gear between the hour wheel and date change wheel was not sitting flush.
  2. I had never been a major fan of Rolex, yes I started out as most to with a crap sub or in my case a Seadweller, I admired now and again, yes, particularly with the quality that we have here with the likes of Freddy and Ubi but I was never one to search out the best sub. In fact I remember on numerous times asking if the rep bracelet felt cheep and flimsy, if it did then it was like the gen. I do however recall that I always s looked with admiration at the builders of some fine vintage Subs and SeaDwellers, I once stood in Brussels and stared at Stephan
  3. WELCOME TO RWG Let the sickness begin
  4. Any time that is the point of RWG, sound advice, expert opinions, great friendships
  5. Lume can be many different colors from white to black, but the white paint on the hands is the the lume and if you are having it worked on by domi then you may as well have the whole thing relumed This is my super luminover 3717 and ingy next to a seiko
  6. I am sure that domi can relume that hand for you
  7. Hmmm, that does look good, case construction is more like gen with the seal in the case back, is the crown a bit big? Biggest annoyance for me is the yellow dial print
  8. That is a lot of watches you bought! When you say tossed in the bin, that is a shame as most of thoses faults could be sorted with a little time and knowledge or at the works case sold as parts, i notices the vintage GMT and the pam 250 that i am sure i could have fixed for you
  9. Well it is a great rep, maybe not quite gen standards but really great for the price, Sizing PO bracelets has broken many a man and tools! have a good search before you try it your self if you have the tools and if you go to a small independent watch smith just make sure he know what he is doing before he tries as well. Welcome to the sickness
  10. Hmmmm who is selling our email addresses!!!!
  11. well i never got it, does she have a nice watch collection?
  12. Franciso did a post in this a while ago using a staking tool
  13. 100% from Reg, it will be at his door in hours (if he has any left)
  14. I am sure that the hour min and seconds from the 2836 will work and i would assume that the GMT hand will, the 2893-2 gmt wheel is 1.80, does any one know what the 2836 gmt hand is?
  15. If you look at the transfer gears you will see that they have a slipping pinion, with out this then you would not be able to adjust the hand, think about it if it did not have a clutch how could it be adjusted @ Gtanak, you will still have an incorrect hand stack on a modern GMT but you will have a movement that is designed as a GMT from the start not one modified by industrious Chinese so reliability will be massively improved
  16. Does seagull make a GMT now? The 2893s I have are a straight swap in a gmt2C so i would think it would also be in your watch
  17. Emilyfied destro ti and tobaco For any new members that means it was built by my 10yr old daughter
  18. KBH has just informed me that these fit a GMT2 C ICHS no problems with the space that comes with it.
  19. The GMT hand runs through a can on pin like clutch so that it will be adjustable, if dry or over oiled then the GMT hand can slip and the GMT hand will be seen to loose time
  20. +2 get it swapped or if you dont want to go throught the hassle of sending it back get the movement checked, serviced or swapped
