I thought that the navitimer had a screw down crown my self

I shot my boss down in flames the other day when he tried to tell me his Muhle Nautical Instrument watch had a rolex movement in it, he tried to insist it had but did not want to here the truth. Ah well i dont like him much any way.

Is the crown still loose, and does it pull out every time you try to set the time ect

It is a long slippery slope until you are living in a cardboard box but with a great watch!

No that is on a blackbird strap but it feels good on it, i think i will use BOBs on later versions. i am looking at some different flieger type straps as well though.

So that you could align it with south and turn the bezel to lign up with the cardinal points, as long as you hour hand os pointing at the sun and the bezel is lines up with true south you can use it as a compass.
