  1. if that is your first strap then i am french, nice work, want to swap any
  2. @ chieftang the one thing i noticed on the gen SOSF was the blue reflection in the overhead spots in the AD (white dial) so that one does have very noticable AR, is that just because of the floresant light in the spots?
  3. Hi Toni The problem with adding the picture is that you are using the wrong link, on phgotobucket you get two links one is dynamic and the other is not. Sorry i cant acces your photo album from work but it should provide you with an other link somewhere or open a photobucket acount for your watch pics. As to the winding problen it sounds like a problem with the sprung crown as opposed to the movement. Ie the crown is not locking out to enable you to manipulate movement and just turning free on the stem. You can change the date and time because when you pull to the right to get to those positions it forces the crown to lock. But i am no expert and could be wrong, hopefully ziggy will read this and correct me if i am wrong. PS welcome to the forum
  4. You may have to tap (re thread) out the case to take the rolex tube, if you look at cousinsuk.com they have aftermarket tubes and crowns that should fit and would also be cheeper than the real stuff and the quality should be fine. have a good search about and there will be piles of info about new tubes and crowns, as to if any one can do the work for you, no idea but it is a good plase to start if you feel adventurous.

  11. Damn nice looking watch, it seams that you read lots and made a good decision
  12. I think i could afford a couple of gens, if id did not have 20 odd reps here and there i could have bought a gen for a couple of grand or a couple of pre owned but only that, This is my retail therapy, i like to shop and eventualy buy, wait check the mail, wait a bit more and eventualy unwrap. The after a few months it starts all over, if i was buying gens that might be every 3 years, and as i said i like to shop. For me Rep even more so with the quality you can get with the right rep watch these days.
  13. Come on is $30 a year a lot to ask for the expert advice available here, if you sold all the watches above for a fair price you could get $500 back easy.
