Well i have not been home since monday so i am still with the Ingy, but i can see me stealing the SFSO back from the wife when i get home tomorrow, no pics sorry this computor is a bit ehm limited.
If you want a good rep then look about here, in the trade area you will see some great used watches and there are collectors here that can provide for you needs.
Get in touch with the seller then, if he is from here then he will sort you out i am sure. Must be a shame not be able to wear such a good looking watch but that is oftern the nature of this hobby.
I always expect a couple of faults on a watch and as long as i can live with them i wond send it back, my ingy has a missalinged date wheel but i can live with it untill i fitt a lello one, The lugs i could maybe live with but if the thing wont stay on cause the pin falls out then that is a problem, if the oil sorts the push pin you are only left with the lugs and that is up to you.
some of my pins were a bit tight and need a touch of oil to get then to spring back properbly if this wont work then i would speak to the collector about a replacement.
Total fantasy i am afraid, sort of a mixed up broardarrow type thingy. if you even get a free sample then good news but if a site is on the scam list here then i would never use them.
The Asian 2892 will proberbly be a seagull ST18 and is a perfect clone of the swiss 2892 and will work perfectly if serviced just as well as a swiss version, i have had one in my Aqua terra and is fine, when i comes to the cost of this movement against the swiss 2824 they sell at the same price from cousins UK, this will be my choice of movement for my next project.
Welcome funky123, glad to see new members having a good look about rather than just asking "what is" As a supporter here you will have access to the rest of Ziggys tear downs with more photos than you could ever belive of almost every movement. And much much more
Yes it has been done i started it with the SOSF but some members saw the benifits of not disclosing their numbers.
feel free to carry the idea on but i would stick to the non changing numbers like the noob and the pams.
First time i have seen that, they oftern try to say that it is something it is not (see the little white lies thread) and we have seen copys of ETA movements stamped almost the same as ETA but this is like putting an nike label on cheep market trainers.
