  1. A good application of a leather feed or wax will help the softening followed by a lot of wearing.
  2. Normaly by simply moving the regultor arm towards the plus to speed it up or the minus to slow it down, how far out is it? This might help, i have not seen it my self as i cant view vids at work but give it a try
  3. Now i could undersand this if it was a seconds@ 6 but ziggy broke down the new seconds @ 3 movement and gave it a big thumbs up due to all the new jewels used to transfer the drive to 3, it is now a 34 j movement have a look.
  4. I would think that the retainer ring would be the best solution, like the one in siltys post, i have found these in a couple of vintage watches and seam to do the job well, the problem here is finding one that would fit?? the original being to large and you want to use it to put the other flytimer back together. If you had another that was either too large or too small you could split it on the oporsit side to the crown and puchers to alown it to shrink or grow to match the circumference of the movement and the case back presure will then hold it in place maybe
  5. Pr should be 42? hours on this but you never really know if it was fully wound when you take it off, if the collector will swap it fine, I keep my autos that i wear regularly on a winder so i dont have to worry about low PR when i first put them on so i am also never tempted to wind them by hand.
  6. How long did the watch run for before it eventualy stopped?
  7. I had a similar problem with an asain one, it was the ratchet gear that holds the main winding gear not being at the right height, luckily alli had to do was tighten down the main gear and it brought it back in line,
  8. I have a couple of my wine coloured 26mm straps laying on the desk, have a look in my sig and see if you like the style.
  9. The gold Ap Neil, very nice purchase, Not a great fan of the dial colour but a nice watch wear it well.
  10. There is no way i could affored to have the gens i like and even they are cheep gens but now with the super reps i have some great time peices that are worth what we pay for them, Like TJ said it is the inflated prices of gens that puts him off, well me too, Reps all the way even if i could afford all the gens i could want i would not buy them.
