  1. I would say it was worth what you have given out and more
  2. Big bang indeed, at the first moment that is what i thought of, there are people out there in need of a taste transplant who might stump up 1500 on the bay for one though.
  3. Does any one know what movement has the dial feet at 3 and 33mm position because i am stumped,
  4. Now reference the post about cost and lots of people saying they would not pay $500 or what ever for a rep, when it comes to this beauty, mute point. Wonderful, wear that with pride, but wear it don't lock it away!
  5. Keep smiling Vic it is just the way of the game, almost the fun part but that is getting the watch, I always like to wait a while before i open the package, it makes it more fun. I hope you get this sorted though.
  6. Have a look here I love the look of the engraving on the movement, however it is listed as swiss with a swiss price, but as has been discussed before they have more to do with china and noodles than cheese, ok what ever, only thing i see now is the crystal ( i believe that i have same one installed in mine and the AR is just too blue, do we have a gen owner who can confirm or deny this is the case? Can the movement with this engraving be bought on its own? By the way i have DSN hands on mine and my dial is close but not as good as the hands, this will glow like a torch!!!
  7. Gen movement is classed as Breitling 17, so if you got a well finished 2824 and the correct rotor so it looked like below you could have almost a very good franken.
  8. Is there any way to tell that this is not gen now except the ser number?
  9. 6241 for me too, it just looks right with the black bezel!
  10. Still not a perfect dial but i preferit to the UPO as it has the correct logo, Jay just need to add some AR and better lume, date window is not to bad, and enlarge the markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9, but still would you have a rolls if the logo was wrong.
  11. Hi and welcome, enjoy it here just don't be posting the reps on the gen forums, it creates a stink we don't like.
  12. Fotys?????? by the way TTK need a a reply (to the email) so i can do that thing for you
  13. By the way do they use gen parts in the modding, i am happy with hair but a bit concerned with the eyes bit!!!!!!!!!
  14. So are you asking if it would be a good idea to do the same with a watch, Ie ziggy for a service, flav for some lume ect and then auction it for a good cause That would be a good idea, a better way to ensure that it got the return it needed would be to raffle it, 200 tickets at $5 each is a good return, A fully modded MBW for 5 bucks, that could even pay for the watch and modding and still create a return.
  15. I forget what breitling call it but base is 2824/2 so it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo close to the gen
  16. Glad you got it, i put a 2183 in a noobmarina the other day, the whole movement cost me a 5er!
  17. It is not a buying prerequisite as to what % of the gen the rep costs but it makes me feel good when i get 90% of the watch @10% of the price.
  18. They are not quite as high as the gen but it really is not noticeable, @jd6793 still to big for you, it is only 39mm!

Thanks Ziggy. Pix, The lume is actually orange, very bright at first but dies a death after about an hour, The case for Nr2 was so crap i binned the idea, but i made Dial 2!!!!!! Any one got a case they are not using??????
  20. Try a railmaster.. have a look here for the gen and here for a rep I have one and i love it, if i had to lose all the reps bar one i would keep this! Now dont any body tell him but apart from the visible movement, what are the faults?????????????????????????????????????????
  21. Bear in mind that was a 7750 chrono works that winds one way only (one way has resistance and the other not) and is notoriously loud. Your eta shoud have equal resistance both directions as it winds both ways.
