  1. I had been wearing it for a week and had an active day, so there was every chance it was fully wound. But here is a question, why do we get power reserve indicators on a lot of auto but not manuals, If you are wearing an auto, then it would be wound most of the time unless you had not moved in 2 days, but a manual, if you forget to wind it one day or two then it will stop! I would say that an manual needs a PR more than and auto.
  2. Don't take this the wrong way here but that could look a bit GAY!
  3. Now that is my sort of table service, i just hope that is a salt and pepper shaker that she has strapped on there.

Hi Guys i know it is not perfect but it is all my own work, Lumed with ready set glow, on a carbon fibre base in a date just case and 21j Asian works. I found i was not happy with the dial as it need ed to be thiner to give more hand clearanse so it now looks like this
  8. I used to have a couple of velcro straps, they are good as you can perfectly adjust them, but i found they got very dirty after a while and would get through 3/4 a year even with washing them.
  9. Hi Well you probably did pay too much. I wont ask if you don't want to tell but most people here have been were you have too. The noise could be that the rotor may be loose and rubbing on the inside of the case back, have you taken it off to have a look? Generally you can remove a sub case back if it is not on too tight with your thumbs when wearing rubber kitchen gloves.
  10. Well i did a bit of work last night on my vintage sort of project, i got it when i won a raffle with PT over on TRC when i first found the boards. Then i dropped it broke the crystal and damaged the works, ect, learned a bit like don't super glue a crystal in and definatly not with the dial and works there. Any way i satin finished the case last night and and i am fairly happy with it. The dial looks old ish but not like it has sat at the bottom of the ocean for a few years, it could do with the lume colouring a bit but i like it. I particularly like the old ?micro stellar balance? in the vintage molnija works that i found on the bay. I know it is nothing compared to some of the masters here like flav ect but i like more now! This is how it looked new and this is now no wrist shot as my phone is playing up!
  11. I read the bit about your clamps i think. I am quite impressed by the response here as it is all good, you imagine if there had been a couple of failing's, we would have heard about them.
  12. How did you age the steel it look like heat to me, A Lot of heat?
  13. The 12, 3, 6, and 9 markers are to short, unfortunately and the lume on the markers is not very good, now the silix hands are as bright and last aslong as my davidsen fiddy hands and they are SL!
  14. Doc even if it was a gen i would get it wet,, my wife has a rep 217 and a gen Aqua terra, she will wash the pots in the gen but not the rep! I see what you are saying and protecting your investment though.

  21. Its all about litigation, if seiko says that a 5atm watch can go down 5atm and it fails they get sued, if the recomend it is only good for light swimming and the likes the chance of it failing are remote, so they dont get sued. I have an SQ 100 that used to mist up after swimming in cyprus, i would have complained but it was out of garantee. My rep asian SD has never had a problem no mater what i have done to it. Swings and roundabouts
  22. They should be attached by pins solderd onto the back of the dial and held in the movement byby some hook looking bits on rotor side of the movement, just move the hook out of the way and the dial should come off.
  23. Have you got a web link for this sizlinwatches
  24. Jake if you click on the wording in my sig you will see that i have tested all my sports watches my own way, my daughter loves it when i get a parcel as it is off to the pool for us. I am of the oppinion that if it has a screw back and crown and the glass doesent fall out when you turn it over, then give it a bath. The hardedest test my watches get is proberbly in the rian on my bike, what with vibrations ect. I hope you last coment was also writen with humor in mind other wise could be seen as a tad off!
