  1. Bob i have some nice things to see round where i live but god i envy you for the views that you have! Oh and i envy you for some of your watches as well!
  2. Still wearing the rail dial. The sun is out so i am going to update this photo later
  3. Yep, maybe one day, but gen as the rep parts just are not good enough.
  4. Sorry the model i mean is tha AP Jumbo with out the seconds hand, On the reps it (not the nice one above with the seconds hand) it has a center seconds pinion with a center seconds blank hand (just the center, no hand) with a closed canon pin it will look alot more like the gen.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsamwOs2slI&feature=related Question can any one tell me how to extract clips from this?????
  6. I have 2 2892s with closed canon pins for these if any one wants to upgrade
  7. Belive me it is easyer and safer this way as you only have to drill one hole one size rather than 1 hole at 1.7mm and one hole a 1mm in the middle of that, and there is no compromise of the case foir a valve that will never have to function
  8. I think i have to be proud of that infulence! @Tiyal, strange choice of insert but it works well
  9. I just asked a supplier(who is long since gone) if he could get me some these were sample batch and after the first batch the supplier dropped off the face of the earth
  10. I quite like this MBW one, not as good as the gen but not all bad
  11. And the engravings between the lugs?? See the second post on vrf
  12. Yep DG mate, you should be able to replace it with any other DG, never seen that DW set up my self though
  13. Experts have a look here http://www.network54.com/Forum/207673/message/1340776982/F.S.%3B+Rolx+Submariner+1680 for me the crystal set the alarm bells ringing
  14. A 2846 has a different stem from a 2836 it is one of the few pars that are not exchangeable between the movements (there may be variations between the years in 2846 though when you get it out post a good picture and I may be able to ID it for you and find a spare
  15. Yes mate very impressed with the TC hands they would be a great improvement for any rep Rolex
  16. Yes, yes i fully agree that the original tritium would not glow any more, but if i could afford a 1665 rail dial gen then i could afford to replace the dial with a luminover dial so that i could use the watch 24 hours a day, even my 1680 gen has a luminova dial and i wear it for work almost every day so if this was gen it would glow as well. Oh and you beat me to reds bracelet today can i have an option to buy it when you want to move it on? You do know that you are to blame ultimatly!!!!! If it was not for your original rolex collection i would never have built my first 1680! and then bought the gen and then went on to build more!!!!!!! so it is all your fault, so it is your round first in Sweden
  17. I cant imagine the price difference being that much, go for the sapphire, i have done a battery change on one of these and it was quite well made.
  18. Welcome back, some great new stuff out there compared to the old days
  19. A rail dial red is a rare (ish) Dial where the gap in Superlative Chronometer lines up with the gap in . Officially Certified
  20. Done looks better, a bit more contrast to the case. Only needs to be 35 years old Freddy 57xx xxx serial number Now i just need my new pearls that are on the way
