I made it my self basically it is a movement holder that extends up from the movement to hold the dial central as well and stop it moving left and right up and down ect
Not all reps need modding and I have personally had reps for years that have never even had a service. I know there seams to be a train of thought that thinks that a rep is no good until it has been modded. I know because I am one of those people but then I can't leave any thing how it comes from the factory. Not my car not my Harley, nothing if it can be customized then it will be but the question is "is it really necessary" an I know the answer in most cases is no. But I still do it because I can. If I had to send it away and pay some one else for a large part of that work I don't think I would.
I did it once with a noob case and a gen sized dial but the dial was only about 0.1mm larger than the dial opening and I had to make a special movement/dual holder to hold it all in the right place
I have one that i built as a vintage one from parts that i collected, with a serviced swiss 2836 in it and all matching lume, I had to make the movement holder so that i a very solid bit of kit,
but i dont wear it as i dont like vintage for some reason, and this is vintage
I don't take watches with leather strap in water unless u for get that I am wearing it. But apart from that pretty much all of them. I will dig some photos out later
I have also had no contact with Uwe (sweetwatches) for a while, even after phoning and emailing, i will be near by in a few days and i am going to pop by and see if i can see him and how he is, what i have heard is that he is ill.
