Many watch makers may not have come across an Asian 2824 so may not recognize it as such (some Asians are stamped a Swiss ) if the watch is a keeper then I say pay for the repair as then you know it will be in good order for a good while
I would say that your great wheel is broken of for that matter any of the other wheels in the train It can be fixed if you have the skill and the correct spare
I have been wearing this continually since I got it in may, it is now nearly the end of November
Not since I started collecting watches have I worn one watch for so long
Thanks guys One to think about I asked hirsch as it was for a father and son pair of watches so I wanted both the same, the son has a hirsch liberty that cost €35 to get hirsch to make one 20mm longer they wanted 3 months and €135!!
No the problem is the friction with moving the seconds to 6 from 9 on the 7750 so when the seconds at 6 stops so does the watch, I have heard that the newer versions are more reliable but I can't confirm this
They grow not old as we that are left grow old
Age shall no weary them
Nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember them
What concerns me is the description, 7750 or 2813? Sapphire front and back, but it has a solid case back
What faults are people seeing here, date wheel looks recessed and faint but that could be the light in the photos
Lume on the hands look too thin, lume looks different colors between dial and hands, I would say the G&T hand is too short as well
