I know that Pete. but if I had a gen with a tritium dial the first thing I would do would be to send it for a service and get a service dial and hands for it. I want my watches to glow so I can read them when I wake up same with reps. The shame about that dial is it has a nice texture but no lume
you would have to remove the crown, another regular souce or leaks is the crystal, and crystal gasket, i have had watches with non round crastals in the past that would not be water restistant no matter what, other s with crushed and deformed crystals gaskets
if these are 7750 varients the problems lays with the clutch that allows the hands to be set and yet still be driven by the movement, just like the clutch in your car if it is slipping the rev counter will show revs (second hand still moving as it does not go thought the clutch) but the wheels wont turn or turn slowere than the revcounter is showing, Only solution is a service or new movement, if this is new get in touch with the seller
Quite true MM a replacement is warrented, and dont get fobbed off by stupid sales staff who dont know there arse from elbow, the problem lays with with the 12 hour counter brake.
I think you are looking at a few hundred, and i would be specific about what you wanted doing, IE dont change the dial and hands, if you are not specific then you may get a brand new looking watch back
