an 1120 is just a nicely decorated chronometre grade 2892 in reality, on some of the above posts, a movement ring for an 1120 will fit a 2892, 2824, 2836 no need for a different spacer or any thing like it the hands will fit as well, you could fit a seagull ST18 straight in ther case and have it working within an hour

I think they should have printed the DW in the same colur as the dial lume, and sat back anda waited to see how long it took to rep it, being as we still struggle to get a decent DW if it is any different to a standard ETA

No problem mate, there are watches that unless you are a member here then at a glance the average person would not doupt as long as it fits the overall persona, IE getting out of a Peugot 205 with a loud exaust and a louder sterio with a 15 year old gum chewing GF wearing a blinged out rolex and a tracksuit is not a good start, but if you dressed the same person in shoes, smart jeans, a decent shirt and a jacket and taught him how to speak politly then any thing is possible

I bet the first rep we see will have an unreliable running seconds at 6 and a 30 min counter at 12 where it should be a 60 min counter, all based on the A7750

I have swam with most of my reps pam and others but i have the ability to do my own QC WR testing both dry and wet, there have been a few that never past any testing due to bad design but in the main they can be water resistance

a 2824 should fit but you would have to do away with the anti mag cover, a 2892 can be found for around the €100 mark if you search for a used one or you coud fit the seagull 2892 copy, I have a franken SMP with every thing gen ecepet the case, crystal, bezel and insert, PM me if you are interested in selling your one that need the movement or vice versa

I dont thing there is a good rep with a solid back, at least not one with a working chrono, the reps out there with the seagull hand wind chrono are good solid reps just not the most acurate due to the subdial positions on the seagull being thuther out from the center compared to the original omega 321 movement, resulting in smaller markers at 3 and 9. it can be modded to look more genuine But is a great solid watch if inacruate as it comes

I am going with the same as Cats, to remind me of a good year with many changes to my life, end of an old job and life after 25 years, a new job, a bit of a reduction on one major project in my life, a bit of a resurrection of an older hobby, a good year , and a look forward to another good one to come and with good planning hard work a new house!

Bit of a rep gen fail in my eyes Why did you cover the serial number on just one? But if you think we cant spot the tells then put it on ebay, hell ebay never listens when we point out the reps on there so you may well get lucky

Never said you were, just saying what people do and how they come to concusions and if they have come to the conclusion that you wear the real deal then you could hand over the cheepest lightest POS and tell them it cost a million and they will belive you, if they dont think that you can afford a Patek they will never belive that the sky moon tourby you wear is real At this point they have already made their asasuptions. A quick story, a mate of mine has worn the same gen sub since he bought it aged 20 (about 20 yeares ago) he drives a car worth less that my good walking boots and i have seen him try to convince people that his gen sub is gen, he has handed it over and they say the bracelet should not ratlle, that the crown does not line up verticaly to the case when screwed down, that the (Tritium) lume does not glow enough and that the seconds hand does not sweep perfectly, all becuse he is oftern scruffy and drives a shit car. Human nature mostly whether people think it is a rep or not in the great wild world Untill you bump into the experts from here or other sites then they see the detials!

If you are thinking that you can just get a rep and hand it over to fool your mates or others then there is alot more to it than just the weight Most people have made an opinion on a watch being rep or gen (if they are part of the small% that are interested) well before they talk about it and hold it. They judge the person first and if on that first impression they don't think you are the person with a 5k watch then it will take more than it weighing the same as a gen to convince them.

The bit of wire I think you are talking about is actually the click spring for the main spring barrel Not that it makes any difference to the scratched non working movement
