Gen Rolex 5508. My parents owned a jewelry store back in 1989 and I bought it for $40. The seller said it was full of rust but it was not. I had a watchmaker check it out. I later sold it for $300 and thought I made a great profit. The thing is back then they were not worth nearly as much. The dial had a back crack in the finish and was not real attractive.

Not much blue out there in the vintage line unless you get a Tudor or a GMT. Well....... I guess.......... It is time to start the research for a 1680..... While I have everyone here in the living room.... does someone want to give me some quick advice. I would like a good case that takes an eta movement, a really good dial that I do not have to cut the feet off of. I would hate to do that to a gen dial. It just does not seem right to rape it like that.

Why are vintage submariners so popular? I think they are even more popular than a modern sub. I have not owned or seen one up close so it is hard to compare.

Thanks for the tip. The pusher pushes in fine. It is just really hard to unscrew and then screw back in.

The bottom screw down pusher on my DW 7032 is really hard to turn and get unscrewed. Is there a way to make this better?

It says it at the bottom. Supposedly it is tested for time accuracy and water resistance. You might opt not to pay for this service.
