well to all you doubters - he had offset subdials. did i mention that at the begining. and the bezel looked like it was pretty well worn. - and as we all know there are VERY few offset subdial models floating around. Noooo way this was a rep. i can spot a standard subdial spacing from 3 parcects (think womprats) anyway - he thought mine was real - cmon, any average gen owner would think the new rubberclad was real on first blush. also did i mention it was dark out? we were in a lighted area, but still. i tried to see his date window to see if it was dark but i didnt get that close of a look. he said he wanted the blackone and is on a 3 month waiting list. Remember it was my jokingly idea to swap anyone who could afford the ap, and wants the black one as well - probably wouldn't freak out over losing 15k. he was just a nice guy, who apparently had $$. but, anyone who knows me, knows, no way that i could do that to someone. if we had more time in line, i would have told him it was a rep and it cost 450$ he probably would have flipped. But, alas, the line was short and we move on

So, i was in disney last night, waiting for my wife and kid to get a picture with mickey another dude strolls up wearing an AP - I had my rubberclad - black dial on. I said, hey nice watch - he looked over and said you to. His had a white face, rubber strap but no rubber on the bezel. So he says, you know i was thinking i like the black dial better. I said thats funny i thikn the white dial is actually better, do you want to switch? His eyes light up - Yeah, really? i said, no, no i can't. his kid wasn't speaking english, so this guy was leaving the country within a few days. anyway, could have made myself a cool 15k couldn't do it though

fyi, the cheap ones will die - i had a 2 motor, 4 watch winder -from ebay for 60 bucks, it was a really nice box, but it lasted less than 6 months. Because the motors are basically constantly on, you have to have a good quality motor - and since winders are a nitch you pay a premium if you want a nice 1 watch one - check ebay for like 60-70$ you will usually get the right kind.

Dude was full of [censored] - even the experts here have called out fakes on gen photos of watches before. best thing to do is be non-challant about it - This thing - eh, i think 14? - i just tell my jewler what to get for me and he gets it - saves lots of hassle. and then ignore him and go back to whatever you were doing The bands/ straps are always and have always been the weakest part of the rep industry from crap to Super reps. there are only a handful i have kept, most i switch out - in fact, the strap really makes the watch - its kind of like Rims - really dresses it up - i have gone to Gen straps, especially Gen rubber - and really expensive leather - by HKTAN. The difference is real. Best rep strap i have ever had so far is my ROO rubberclad rubber strap. haven't handled the gen rubber strap - but have seen it up close, a friend had it a while back. - but the rubber is outstanding, nice and soft.

Not sure what kind of percentage they work on - and of course your new - and don't know how much of that 1.6 was originated by you or was in the pipeline and just closed by you - but lets say he takes 3% - if you brought me in 50k in the first 2 months you have been there? i'd have sprung for the 5k and gotten you a real rolex. If you keep up that pace, there better be a rolex waiting for you at year's end - ON TOP of your bonus - or you need to find a new developer.

i did it with my skeleton watch - it was a genuine inquiry, i didn't know if i wanted to part with it, and it basically depended on the cash i could get for it. There is Nothing Wrong with it - UNLESS the person doesn't have the appropriate forum supporter status and they are using the floating to get around that. otherwise what would be the concern - also, i think i sold my skeleton before we had auctions - that also presents an opportunity to post it without knowing what the market price is for unique pieces

did you try just pushing the ends together? - the bracelet simply has pins inside it that stick, you might be able to just push them back into place. i hope you didn't pay 400$ for this watch.
