Thoughts about changing the look of the forum
fotoman replied to P4GTR's topic in General Discussion
Thoughts 1. could create a new skin - minimalist or phone centric skin could be good 2. i have no issue with switching up the banner 3. but don't go moving the controls and stuff around - i know where everything is - i'm resistant to change edit - how about a contest? -
did you happen to post the bad crystals- that would be useful info for us all.

perfect clones is all pumped up about these uboat watches -gen bought, coming in August- yadda yadda - they look like crap to me - and i although i have seen some talk about them on the forum over the years, just doesn't seem like a model to go all ga ga over am i missing something here?
-
i have seen a few of these in person and tried them on - they are very very cool - but just like skeleton watches the hands are sometimes hard to make out. But, i guess its not about the ability to tell the time right fyi, i have always been a big fan of corum - the tradition of the company is to create "out there" designs and go more creative than contemporary hence the bubble in all its incarnations I have a gen bubble - and my wife has a gen mini bubble with diamonds - that i got for 800 new. its a phenomenal watch. its been discontinued, but, i think its one of the coolest ladies watches, it can be a little hard to see the hands cause the bubble distortion is big, but its like wearing a big marble with diamonds around it, very very cool piece, in person.

its called a correction, unfortunately for those that are over leveraged and stuck - we have to keep our fingers crossed that things will find a way of working out. everytime i loook at my collection, i think of the bills i could pay if i just sold them all -

I was a space camp counselor one summer in titusville - saw a few launches got the VIP tour of kennedy - which was really cool - got to go inside the VAB and saw the launch center, got to walk near the launch pads, but there were 2 shuttles on them at the time so we didn't get to go in the flame trench - also got to go inside the bunker where they launched the mercury redstones - holy crap no technology - were talking reel to reels and a big red button that said launch and it was really close to the rocket pad itself - crazy stuff. Lots of fun though, and i'm filled with useless knowledge about the space program. last time i did RC cars and rockets was 20 yrs ago - they have come a LONG way since then, at least the planes - they still actually sell the model of RC car i had - the frog

yeah, those are like 5 grand ! and you have to really know how to fly! the cool thing about the planes that i got is with the 14 inch wingspan i can just go out in the front of the house and fly it around, don't have to load up go to a park ect ect. Most difficult thing i got going on is making sure i get to the crashed plane before the kid does !!

i'm digging the rubber how much was the gen rubber strap?

They have alot of RTF - ready to fly planes - i bought 2 inexpensive ones, for 60 $ each, the megatech avion and avion IO thats including remote, battery everything, open the box, charge it up, go flying i have another one on the way - which has 3 way controls instead of 2 channels All of these are "indoor/ outdoor" flyers, or micro planes - my avion has a wingspan 7 inches and the AVion IO and my new cessna 201 -- 15 inches based on all my research this cessna is best bang for the buck - retails for 120ish i bought it from this guy on a forum that buys parts and refurbs planes - seems to be well liked - anyway got it for 70$ shipped - everything included as new and new batteries. here is the plane http://www.parkzone.com/Search/Default.asp...archTerm=cessna here is the forum http://www.rcgroups.com/aircraft-electric-...-airplanes-489/ here is a video here is a video that i would love to get to - these are only $250 bucks, ready to fly with remote and everything! see how its cheaper - these are just bad ass

I just wanted to give a nice pubic thank you to JMT. i have been searching for a hard to find part for several months to help out my cousin. JMT was nice enough to offer up the part and send it over to me - at no cost even. There are many similar stories that have been shared over the years here - part of what makes it a special place. Thanks again to JMT - now off to see if it fits!!

hey gran, i started a thread on this a few months back - sadly our friend TTK appeared to "go off the deep end" 1 too many times - and it got very very ugly - in a way that is totally inappropriate - even for his standards. He didn't stick to the motto - don't [censored] where you eat! i miss him, he was a unique voice. the whole scene is so different now with super reps, in 1 way, its great to have these amazing watches - also, there is less of a chase when things are closer to "perfect" finally though the prices are really hard to swallow - its pretty clear as time goes on that most of them aren't warranted - other than they are priced to what the market will bear. i've collected more inexpensive gens - and actually started to get into RC planes - believe it or not it can be a CHEAPER hobby welcome back

i'm just curious wanted to see a photo of the thing from a member and see if - well, if the official photos don't do it justice. - I really want this model to be cool. And frankly can't believe that they screwed up after buying a gen? if anyone had the balls to order - post up your pics or email it to me if your too embarrassed and i'll post them anonymously jk
