  1. it is actually not either or, it is which will come first
  2. Hello, I have a lot of rare parts in my "parts for future watches" box and I am thinking of what to do next. Two watches came in mind. 1.) The Submariner 5513, pointed crown guard, gilt dial. This is on my list for two reasons, both related to the dial: It is glossy and golden . With a little aged dial and hands, a bleached insert and a rivet bracelet this would be a stunner. PRO: +older +probably more style with the pointed crown guards, the riveted bracelet and the gilt dial. +No date wheel to mess with CONTRA: -correct crown twinlock 700 is a lot more difficult to source. -date watches are more practical. 2.) Sea-Dweller 1665, the great white. Always wanted to have one. PRO: +shows date +crown, tube and bracelet are easier to source +ultra professional watch CONTRA: -less style -correct silver datewheel is a little difficult to get. Which would you prefer on your wrist? At the moment I like the idea of having a 5513 more, so it gets my vote. Please help my with my decission
  3. PAM 005 Logo all the week. Cartel case, DSN dial + hands superlumed with C1, DSN case back, T48 crown, V crown guard, serviced seagull 3600, high cannon pinion, crystal with single AR... Probably my favourite watch since may.
  4. Was a straight fit on the swiss 7750, dunno if it works on the asian 7750.
  5. I used these on a swiss 7750: http://cgi.ebay.com/WATCH-HAND-DAYTONA-FOR-ROLEX-OR-TUDOR-SILV-WATCH-PARTS_W0QQitemZ310086480382QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item48329831fe&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262#ht_4628wt_1167 Worked very well.
  6. The BMW Alpina B5S did it in 8:14, the M5 in 8:13, the M6 in 8:10, the M3 Coup
  7. C'mon guys, take to cheapest opportunity to step up to a wonderful gen!
  8. MBK shopping mall in bangkok is the place to search for them...
  9. When it was shipped on the 28th it should have arrived yet IMO. Normaly it takes about 10 days. The sender should contact DHL. He can make an enquiry - if the parcel does not reappear then he can at least use the shipping insurance and refund your money. The big problem with DHL is that it actually is impossible to track anything that was not sent within Germany. And even worse: It is not possible to track a parcel sent TO Germany from outside Germany.
  10. BTW the Panamera is incredibly good fun on the road. It does about 95% of what a Benz S-class or a 7 series BWM does, but if you want to it corners more then well. If one does not have a direct comparison it does not feel very different from a GT car with 500kg less and it is actually very quick, not only on the straights: W. R
  11. Michael Mauer has a quite entertaining watch collection. From time to time I have to do with him (worked for Porsche a few years, now Porsche is my client) and it is always nice to see what he has on his wrist. BTW he was responsible for the SLK and SL Benz in the mid nineties. The Saab 9-3 is designed by him, too.
  12. Ladies and gentlemen, buy those tickets!
  13. As much as I am impatiently waiting I doubt that it will be november
  14. bought another one, doubling my chances. Come on guys, buy the remaining tickets!
  15. Will work with the WM9 cases that are able to take an ETA 2824 on which the Tudor Sub movement is based. But it is not a straight swap: The 2824 has a different date position than the Rolex 3135 movement, so you have to fiddle with a date wheel overlay...
  16. lol Stephane, seems that we have pretty much the same taste in watches. 5513, gilt dial and hands, superdomed plexi, pointed crown guards, twin lock crown and rivet bracelet. Faded bezel, nice patina... oooooh baby!
  17. Hello everybody, I am desperately waiting for the WM9 Sea-Dweller. However, it seems it still is a long wait until we see the finished product. So, what shall one do to shorten the wait? I started collecting parts : - gen tube - gen crown - gen crystal - gen bezel insert Not on the pics, but on their way to me: - gen HE valve - gen springbars - gen gaskets for crystal and case. - gen Tudor hands I am even thinking of getting a gen movement for it...
  18. In the case of a very positive end for me I'll possibly come back to that option and will pick it up myself
  19. Me too. I hope I'll win. Otherwise I have to buy a 79090 someday, it's one of my grails...
  20. Difficult to say from the pictures. Maybe someone with experiences with those explorers can chime in... I only have an old TW Best cased Explorer, dunno if it is the same case.
  21. It depends on how your ex1 is constructed: If it is gen like and has a crystal gasket that is about 2.75mm high you'll have to remove the bezel. Same story as installing a crystal on a submariner: Stick the yrystal with gasket on the case, press the bezel OVER the crystal gasket combo. If it is built like the noobmariner for example Andy described the way to go.
  22. Hallo Sven, wende Dich an Member Bricciola. Er kann Dir helfen mit allen Reparaturbed
  23. No, yours is not constructed in that way. What you are searching for is a bezel for your aqua terra.
