  1. Just ordered one of Audis new inline five cylinder turbos instead of a roadster with a boxer six Once one is driving a turbo naturaly aspirated cars feel somehow unrelaxing. The low rev torque of a modern turbo is just wonderful for normal roads.
  2. If so I'd like to have one of those reps just for the bracelet.
  3. Actually from what can be seen I can only say that it is gen or a rep with totally uncommon built quality. I don't think it is a rep.
  4. Actually there were SEL Rooties. The one in the attachment was sold new in 2005. It has SELs, no lugholes and the TT 16713 clasp with fliplock, but without divers extension.
  5. Prongeur Plofessional?
  6. It's the release pusher to unlock the bezel. The bezel can be turned both clockwise and counterclockwise, but you have to unlock it when turning.
  7. I actually doubt that the dial is genuine. Looks like one of the dials a specific seller on eBay is selling at the moment. The gen serti dial has much nicer setting for the blue sapphires. But gen Serti dials a lot more expensive, too...
  8. You had one, I know it because you gave it to me Actually I sold the watch about a year ago because the inaccuracies of the rep Daytona case took the fun out of this project... Maybe I have to get a gen or build a vintage big block tudor chrono franken...
  9. You are right with the GMT hand length. For everything else the watch is IMO too dirty and the pic quality is too bad.
  10. The Pro Hunters have completely ARed crystals, therefore one won't see differences from the crystal to the cyclops. Hand stack looks correct and the rehaut engraving lines up where it is visible. I'd say gen.
  11. Won't work. The 1185 has the hour and minute counters on the three-to-nine-line whereas they are above that line on the Rolex 4130.
  12. Hello everybody, most of you've allready heard that the availability of ETA movements is more and more difficult. ETA decided to only deliver to customers within the Swatch group from afaik 2011 on and independant customers can't get more movements than in the year before since about 2008. In succession of ETA's decision even "big ones" (for example Tudor!!) are now getting their movements from Sellita, a swiss movement manufacturer that produces very high quality copies of ETA movements with expired patents. Sellita's movments indeed are at least as good as ETAs. Up to date Sellita offers copies of the ETA 2824 (SW200), 2836 (SW220), 2834 (SW240), 2892 (SW300) and 7750 (SW500) and allready anounced that they plan to widen their range of classic ETAs. And now look what movement is in the new Patek Aquanaut rep: A Sellita SW200!!! Same movment as in some gen Tudors
  13. unfortunately it isn't. A better caseback is the last part that I'd love to see on it.
  14. Sql_Pl, are you satisfied with the lume on your watch? Does it last? Cheers from Germany
  15. Once in a while I build a Panerai, first was a 111, then a 000, then a 005, then a 5218 201/A, then a 088, now a 002 pre A. But actually the only one that I still love is the 005. On the other the love disappeared after wearing them twice. Actually the love for the 002 is disappearing even while building it, so most probably you'll see a DSN cased, FGD dialed, T crowned, gen crystalled 002 up for sale soon. My 005:
  16. Actually it even looks like the slide rule is lined up :) But what movement is it? Somehow it does not look like a 7750. Have a look at the position of the balance, the balance bride and the chrono bridges under the rotor:
  17. Did anyone receive a confirmation of his order?
  18. I can see pics but they are too small to see anything.
  19. But IMO it is a great looking combo with gilted dial and hands in a SS submariner. I've seen some genuine 16613 (TTs) converted to SS with gilt dial and they looked very nice.
  20. This is now the fourth generation of Reverso reps I've seen and it as bad as the generations before were. Why can't they get the reverso right!? Caseback is off (no screws and no separate back on the gen), crown is off, case is off and there are no Grande Taille or Classique Reversos with see through case back and this dial.
  21. Actually I had a neighbour some years ago who bought a red Sea Dweller new in 1969 and is still wearing it today as his daily beater including swimming, diving and gardening.
  22. Sent order too. Waiting for reply...
