  1. Ordered some Omega parts from him early this month. Shipped 2 days after payment was made. In fact the parcel spent more time in my local customs than it did in transit. Guess the availability of the parts plays a part in their response time. Might be beginner's luck as well. Cheers Siesta181
  2. How on earth am I gonna save money???? IWC is the devil in watch form. Love the Big Ingy Chrono
  3. Darn it.... missed the opportunity to met some guys from RG. Maybe next time.
  4. Congrats mate.... Must try to meet up one of these days. SG's not that big. Cheers Siesta181
  5. Welcome Maurice, Lots of good people and watches here. Life here is never boring. Playful banter hapens all the time so feel free to join in. And please post pics once you decide on your first rep. Enjoy your stay. KR Siesta181
  6. Sweet.....
  7. Thanks Francisco for the write up. Dealers got some explainin to do. Cheers Siesta181
  8. Finally, a recently released watch that I am not interested in buying. There is hope for me yet. Back to point, it looks better with the blck rubber on but I am quite sure HKTan can come up with a nice black leather strap with yellow threadings, no?
  9. A very Happy Birthday Jennifer.... Best Wishes Siesta181
  10. Lovely avatar.... Ooopppsss..... I mean pictures.
  11. Security in the malls are a joke. But the whole situation will be sorted out. How the burglary was conducted and who did it. As to whether the person is going to be caught, thats another matter all together. Security guards might have seen him carrying some big suitcases out of the shop but probably did not stop to check, him being a staff at the shop and all. A heist like this cannot be executed as a one-man operation. He got help and I would say very good help indeed. Lets see how long before he's caught, if ever at all. Cheers
  12. That's sweet.... CF. Wear it in good health
  13. Was always put off by the Blacksteel by its rubber strap. But you had to do this to me..... Arrghhhhh.... But its a wonderful combo, simply genius. Dang it. Probably have to sell my Skyland for this. I need the Blacksteel.
  14. Yup. Just finished reading the review. The bezel is a dead giveaway imo. The thinner fonts are quite different. The colour of the numbers on the bezel is very different as well. I read somewhere that the number recesses on the ceramic bezel is filled with platinum. The Deepsea V3 is a pefect replication apart from the ceramic bezel. But its too big of a flaw for me to pull the trigger right now. Cheers Siesta181
  15. Sweet Bro... didn't know you had one of these
  16. I resisted the Blcksteel and the 08 CD but this.... resistance is futile. I was actually trying to see how far into the new year I can get myself to without buying a new piece. Apparently not very far.... lol I resign myself to another year of buying watches I dont need. Merry Christmas everyone. Cheers Siesta
  17. Monday Tuesday Merry Christmas everyone... Cheers Siesta181
  18. I just decided on my first watch for 2009. Thanks for the extra push guys.
  19. Nice pics on a nice watch Lani. I cant say this is my favourite CD though but I am a bit old fashion so what do I know. For me white or black with red blue or maybe yellow detailings. This CD is way too bright for my old eyes. IWC is my favourite brand but they need to be careful how they move ahead. Their regular series are great but their LE watches are quite a dissapointment if you ask me. Did you see their LE for the German national team? Albert Silberstein anyone? My 0.2 Cheers Siesta181
  20. Welcome aboard Nikki, It takes all sorts of watches to make a collection and you find all sorts of people from all around the world here. I came across this board about 8 months back and as such still a noob as well but the warmth of this board is incredible. It's as if i have been here for years. I am quite sure you'll enjoy your stay here. Cheers Siesta
  21. I'd really like to have a look of your collection in one photo shot. I'd bet that if you line up you watches end to end, you be able to go to the moon and back. Looking forward to the review Lani Cheers Siesta181
  22. Was wearing this the whole day and probably will through the weekend Have a good weekend RWG
  23. Here's what I intend to do to my UPO 1. Gen hands 2. Gen Crown & Tube 3. Chief's AR 4. Dial is tricky here. A gen dial is a major investment but I might have to go there if I can't get mine lume. And God knows I can't lume it myself. 5. HE Valve replacement is optional for me. dluddy has an UPO done up by The Zigmeister and I think that project is the gold standard for UPO projects. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=87000 Cheers Siesta181
  24. Think you just need to swap omega logos. I think its done that way
  25. I'd love to help you but...I m a noob to Omega. By-Tor's review of the UPO is here http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=18161 Hey CF...Thanks. Its my 2009 project.
