  6. An Australian, a Kiwi and South African are in a bar one night having a beer or three. All of a sudden the South African drinks his beer, throws his glass in the air, pulls out a gun and shoots the glass to pieces. 'In Seth Efrika our glasses are so cheap that we don't need to drink from the same one twice,' he says. The Kiwi, obviously impressed by this, drinks his beer, throws his glass into the air, pulls out his gun and shoots the glass to pieces. 'Wull mate, in Noo Zulland we have so much sand to make the glasses that we don't need to drink out of the same glass either,' he says. The Australian, cool as a Koala, picks up his beer and drinks it, throws his glass in the air, pulls out his gun and shoots the South African and the Kiwi. He turns to the astonished barman and says,'In Strailya mate, we have so many bloody South Africans and Kiwis that we don't need to drink with the same ones twice.' (Only in the interest of international harmony) Offshore
  7. Reported, 12 hours ago! Offshore
  8. Kruz, Well done, although my French runs to, The numbers 1 to 10, Opening doors and closing windows, Paris,(France not Hilton) Le Mans, Renault, Peugot, Citreon, Favre Lueba and of course soixante neuf Don't mind us rolex16613, we love to have all nationalities on board here, so welcome indeed. And maybe your bilingual skills, are already far superior, to some of our admin team! Enjoy your time with us. Offshore
  9. Not being a Pam fan, I have no idea about the brand. I vaguely remember talk of a tourby, but this ebay auction raises my hackles! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/PANERAI-LUMINOR-MAR...1QQcmdZViewItem When I see a seller, with a (relatively) low sales count, post a whole bunch of upmarket watches, as the collection from a deceased estate...the warning bells ring. There is some other stuff there, which could well be kosher, but this one in particular makes the eyebrows raise, and the top lip curl up a bit. So my Pam WIS friends, please take my knowledge level on these babies, to a level, approaching comprehension. Offshore
  10. Welcome...and show us the pics! But don't lurk too much; you have obviously gained something from here if you have bought something, so share it with the newer "lurkers", so they may gain some more insight as well. Welcome aboard. Offshore
  11. Guys, I have, or can access, up to 2.5mm dia, and to fit 26mm gap, "Fat" spring bars. Seiko use 2mm , and 2.2mm, up to 24mm gap, which I have in stock, and my supply guy in Brisbane has, I beleive, the 2.5's to 26mm. Let me know what you need, and we can probably sort it! Offshore Edit to add, just saw those photos of the ones River has...will do some research.
  12. Grammatically incorrect....."Klink" and "decent", cannot appear in the same sentence. Offshore
  13. Welcome aboard! Now take a firm grip on your wallet. This can be an expensive ride. Seriously, read, read, and read some more! (and read my siggy as well) Again, great to have you with us. Offshore
  14. Bricky! Good to see you. It's OK mate, we will move this to "Humour"....shortly. Offshore
  15. Pretty much! Small amount of silicone, on the tip of a toothpick, followed by a wipe off with a fine cotton bud, is my method.... just don't OVER grease the suckers, grease in itself does not seal, the O ring does that job, the silicone just aids the surface contact. Offshore
  16. Whilst not a step by step, on every seal, this is a good start. http://www.pmwf.com/Watches/WatchSchool/WS...Replacement.htm I might add, that anyone looking for some basic starting info, can do worse than visiting pmwf! Offshore PS Puggs...do you silicone grease ALL your rubber?
  17. Welcome CD, to the best rep community around. Hope you find what you need in the pages here, if not, just ask. Enjoy your stay. Offshore
  18. ss, I feel your pain. As a dog lover, who some time back lost his faithful mate after 17 years, I know just how you feel right now. Take some positives from the fact, that he is now in a better place, and won't have to experience the pain of a slow departure. You are a wonderful person to feel this to the point of sharing, and I'm sure your wonderful mate would also understand this. Grieve, but remember the good times. Offshore
  19. Indeed...my screen must be too dark/small, as I couldn't read any of the writing. Indeed again, if it says "Push"...well ......push. Offshore
  20. A lot of these came off Swatch watches, and have a "slotted" area where they attach to the case. What size do you need, I can have a dig thru my box of "odd bods" Offshore
  21. What Miyota movt number is that? Try these anyway. 1. Look for a button with an arrow pointing at it.(There appears to be a button in a hole at 10 o'clock, back into the movt a bit- this could be it.) 2. Remove the plastic retaining ring, it may be under there. 3. If the above fails, pull the stem out, whilst closing viewing the movt. Look for something moving, you will find the button close to this area. If none of the above helps, give me the movt number, and I will find it on a movement I have here. Offshore
  22. B, I have a Caswell plating kit, here in Oz. Unfortunately i don't have the black fluid. However.....when I bought this kit... a couple or 3 of years back.... Caswell had a rep here in Oz. One of the family....from memory in Gippsland in Vic. At the time, there was talk of a full range of product being available here. Maybe contact Caswell, and see where the land lies. You are welcome to borrow my kit. Offshore
  23. Gran, This I can gurantee you to be fact.... and would you beleive even some of their cheaper crappy quartz stuff....sometimes makes one wonder about the driving mentality behind copying watches Offshore
  24. Up on the bay tonight. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...A:IT&ih=007 It's local to me here, so if anyone needs it looked at, and the seller agrees, get me an addy, and a bit of time to get to him. Offshore
