  1. +1 for "scoring system" never been keen on something like this but "changed environments" for ex. many new members and scams raise the demand for such! Ive always wondered how smooth many transactions went between members here - sometimes i even tried to figure out how much parts/watches and $$$ do flow from one member to another without any hassles Just a thought @Admin-Team: What about disclosing personal infos like address, phone, etc. to you as an "insurance" if a deal goes blatantly bad to the Admin-Team so you are able to intervene better? There are other boards on the internet where a user doesnt only have to give his "personal details" such as address - phone etc. but also has to verify them with a copy of his identity-card (or ID number) / passport? That will frighten off a majority of the scammers!? -------------------------------------------------------------------- Well thats just a thought and yes 100% security is hard to achieve - reading some comments i am also thinking about deals where i sent money or parts/watches to members without ANY public positive feedback -------------------------------------------------------------------- And @eddhead YES - i know who you are talkin about - this was a deal that got me (uninvolved) really mad, because it was a long time and trusted(from other transactions) member from our board! Unfortunately we have no(??) member living closely next to this seller that could step in and try to help - that is a good example where the address "alone" and phone number are of no great help... i hooked up with the seller via phone talkin in his(our) native language but all info i could get is that "everything is alright... the buyer shouldnt worry and that the watch is already shipped out..." thats all. No further contact or infos till now. Frustrating. But thats not the only one and i guess not the only reason why JOJO started this ELIGIBLE THREAD! I remember another <deal> where a watch was shipped "in parts" to another member with the seller claiming that ALL just happened during shipping with THE BOX intact!! Anyway... ill stop here - not my money or watches but only thinking about such drives me mad!! And @the people that may read this thread and maybe or may not have done such intentionally: well think about how you would feel if things like THAT did happen to your ordered parts/watches or to your money?? How would you feel?? George
  2. Looks also suspicious to me... Gen ORIS starting from 0,99
  3. @Halo Sorry for you bro! Yes as others said - Family and you are #1!! I really hope you have a fire insurance or other insurance that will help you out of this!! B/R George
  4. @Rob 68 weeks = 1 year and 4 f_ckin' months!! Thats ridiculous! Ok ive heard similar "service-stories" about VC/AP and PP but i would suggest a period of 8 months (max. 1 year) should be MORE than adequate - i suppose your AD aint located near the south-pole and they dont ship the watch to switzerland using horsemen! B/R George
  5. If thats you on the pic - damn you look really sick George
  6. @Nanuq And how is the saying? A good household needs at least ONE acoustic guitar to impress the wife lol haha... You guys literally rock - others just virtually!! Aahhh... good ol' days George
  7. WOW @Freddy and @Nanuq - Never noticed we have practicing guitar audiophiles here And i promise this is my last OT comment spamming this thread otherwise ill go private(PM). The Gibson Les Paul is a guitar (my friend owns one) i always dreamt to own - was 16 back then when i first decided to buy a e-guitar... I covered and used to play lots of the "classic" stuff - For example Hendrix... some Guns'n'Roses stuff but also more hard stuff like Voivod, Metallica and Prong. Guitar i owned Charvel-Strat with Jackson-Style "upside-down" Guitarhead was also played in that configuration (EMG Humbucker) 1:1 by Tommy Victor (Prong) back in the 80s. I once had an unpleasant encounter with one of my neighbours - coming back from school(loaded) straight into the cellar switchin on the marshall(only half-stack!) and rocking the sh_it out of my guitar fretboard (my fingers almost bleeded) - saying that he doesnt have to stir his coffee putting sugar in but the dishes almost felt out of the cupboards and that i SHOULD REHEARSE MORE QUIETLY 2 years later when i announced my father that i finally have the money to go "Marshall Full-Stack" (lol) he said that he is straight going to "give me the chop" if i dare... The rest is history... less and less time... life intruded. ---------------------------------------------------- BTW if someone is interested to buy a FENDER AMP (Champ 12)- bought 1989 - with tubes (clean and distorted channels - footswitch) with 12 inch speaker - drop me a line Color is red, fine thing for rehearsing and interesting for guitar sounds from "jazz to rock" very nice distortion and timbre! ----------------------------------------------- Thanks again Fred and Nanuq - i leave the audience now to your FAMOUS WATCHES Always keep on rockin' George
  8. Hello David Haha... i can get you a gen one lol! Not kidding. Reason why i am asking on a MBW jumbo spare dial is that i will probably rebuild (have gen AP logo) me a 15202ST rep - my MBW cream white dial is slightly scratched (it depends on the price for a replacement mbw dial) i guess member "paso" once told me he could get me one for under 40 or 30 USD but this is loooong ago... I have access to a salmon-silver Jumbo dial and to a black (darkest anthracite) Jumbo dial both ref. 14802ST. Have to prepare the pictures i shot and upload. If you will see them and you are interested drop me a pm - btw youll need a different datewheel too, i got me 2 matching VC datewheels for the same calibre as used in the jumbo (AP2121). Enough thread hijacking now. Sorry i am too busy although logged in (from work) but plan to post asap - i guess i am able to forward some very rare and interesting parts to the members here - and i will post rwg-only. Thank you guys. George
  9. Hola friend! Just saw your watch-thread today - despite i am no expert on tourbillon APs i love the look of the dial very much dunno if acurate! Wear it well!! George
  10. Paul... if you read this, you can drop me a PM - might also be interested in a replacement dial! B/R George
  11. Nice OT comment btw... Floyd Rose? I had that thingy on a Charvel Strat with 2 active EMGs!! Can tell ya - this was rockin' Sadly sgave it to a friend - still have a marshall stack in my cellar sometimes i miss rehearsing a lot! Sadly this is also a matter of time as many hobbies ## "OT off" George
  12. Condolences and wishes from me @concepta & family! Yes, lung-cancer is a mess to die from... i can tell from my father. May they rest in piece. Regards George
  13. Hello P! Long time no see... Is this gen? lol Lovely watch!! Best Regards George
  14. Yes MBW = Marias Best Watches = a fictional term once invented by bavarian badass Adam Weishaupt back in 1776 to describe some watches that originated from a stall inside of thailands most famous shopping center (back then) MBK(Mah Boon Krong-Shopping centre) but not all of this magic replicas are said to be produced in TH. The owner of this shop/stall inside MBK is also said to be the keeper of the ark of the covenant and the holy grail too... thats where the mystical "MBW" watches (see Maria) get their holy powers from These watches do somehow still exist - however my last mbw rep was fetched direct from the stall - i guess Paul/Rolexfinder should still have good contacts to MBW/MBK stall - you can also consider try for ex. people as narikaa (he used to travel to TH often) or ask some of our trusted watch dealers here if they are able to source you a watch. I would try Paul first because lately he did an MBW/MBK group buy. All the best! George
  15. Guys RELAX!! He meant of course genuine replica Rolex!! George
  16. Hi Gang! and @potentialbuyer be aware despite overall finish that can vary from "good" to "feels cheap" that one "weak link" seems to be the material of the clasp - if you are planning a AP RO to be your daily beater i would go with the MBK/MBW version (copy of 15202ST) i dunno so much about the CN clone of the "modern jumbo" 15300ST make but heard one time over at Repgeek that you are able to bend the metal of the butterfly-clasp with your fingers! This seems to be also an issue on the CN clone of the smaller 36mm 14790ST rep - i had one of these too - clasp broke wearing the watch within days... Go for the MBK/MBW or ask if you are more into smaller models if you can still get one of the supposed to be TW-Made 36mm 14790ST reps - George from WM9 did carry these and he once sent me a "free" watch-case just for modding at no cost! I am not sure about exact serial of these smaller TW made ROs (36mm) or which model they try to replicate but i know that they have display case back and something engraved on the backside like "edition limit
  17. Beautiful pics, beautiful watch!! George
  18. Superb!! Just realized i love such threads... and @concepta keep 'em comming!! George
  19. Can anyone shoot our bro Francesco a PM to peek a boo?? K! Maybe before typing to much worthless i should simply do that... Am 100% sure hes the one capable to shed some light to this issue!! He did a complete teardown and review on the mech of the secs@12 movt. Thanks for posting this!!! George
  20. Thank God we are no longer addressable and readable through Google!! That comment with "H" is so f**king great misreadable... that would bring our bro Francisco "a hell of bunch of customers" and maybe also invitation of the DEA All the best guys! George
