yeah people cmon post pictures...it seems that we only have a select few that always share and I am sure that loads of members bought that watch...we are waiting
Angus, Andrew, Joshua and King all carry all available models - the graphite and slate grey are incorrect color and the black diamond is too blingy...I would go with the white one, since it seems to be the most accurate
it is a nice "run of the mill watch" that has nothing special about, no complications to speak of, no particular historical value,, etc - that's why the resale value is not as high as on a Panerai, Rolex, Patek, etc.
in addition to what Pugwash said you might want to try changing the position of the watch so that the autofocus has something to focus on - if you have a little rectangle in the viewfinder/on your screen than try to position it so that it has a contrasting subject to focus on...not sure if I am explaining this correctly
of course, but be careful with those quick jobs where they just drain the movement in a cleaning solution - you should get it properly serviced, once you did you will enjoy for a long time. Just check the forum in the expert and watch repair sections for more details.
wait a couple of weeks and see if it still runs fast after the break-in period, if not the movement is probably dirty, which is quite common with replicas.
just received my PAM Arktos92 and there is good and bad about it - I will have to work now but will post more details including pictures compared to my gen tonight - for now please see my comments to your remarks/questions
well as expected the crown guard and lever is the crappiest one I have ever seen on any of the 10+ Panerai reps I have - the crown is also the usual rep crown so no improvement here
total optical illusion - looks the same on my gen at certain angles and is very hard to photograph - The date font is 100% spot on
usual crap rep lume not superb or even decent
looks more like tint than AR - has a very strong blueish tint compared to the gen and recent real AR coated replicas
as I said forget the lume - non existent...
so true - I am originally from Germany and Rolex for example was always perceived to be a pimp or shady sort of new rich show off watch, particularly the Day-dates and Datejusts or whatever those things are called...sorry Rolex lovers, just talking about common opinion in Germany. I like them on technical merits, but am no big fan of their design or reputation
