if anyone asks me where i got a particular watch from, i always beam my 100 watt smile and tell them "TTK Jewelers on the Eastside" ... that is usually enough for them to know if its a rep or not
speaking from personal experience, i can definitely vouch for Alan being a stand-up guy
the problem lies in the postal customs on the Canadian side, especially the ones on the Eastern seaboard. I have paid extra for packages to go over the border via 2-day Priority and they do ... only as soon as they cross the border, they sit in storage for the next 2 weeks while the recipient and the sender wring their hands in despair
mine came with a DW issue and a crusty rotor
but my watchsmith up in IL managed to fix both of them
now it runs as smooth as butter
but i'm too scared to mess with the date unless absolutely necessary so i usually wait for the date to coincide before i take it outta the box
i've got the a black one with the Ti/SS case ... Chief's A/R too which bTw is to die for
my only problem has been that the center crown was stuck to the tube instead of being welded so it tends to break off rather easily
so i've had to source a replacement crown & tube, get it welded and replaced in due time
not at all idealistic
i hate having to ask for feedback upon completion of a successful transaction
in fact i'm tempted to add it to my list of questions before i make a purchase next time onward ... does the stop watch run properly and reset ? when will you ship the watch ? how many moons will elapse before ya post feedback ? are you really that daft in real life too ?
chances are the average user cannot fathom the simple task of clicking the Feedback button in the Main Menu ...

i agree that its a real headache to get money outta PayPal but that's a risk the seller has to take ... personally i cannot fathom leaving a seller any kind of feedback until i receive the goods
chances are he may think he can get more for the item and wanted you to back out altogether
between my SO, two SOSFs, BCE TT, Bentley, Blackbird, Ti Avenger and Navi GMT (not to mention an incoming Skyland) that's like asking which one of my kids i love more ...
