The other thing to consider is that the sewn in buckles need more space in the strap loop. If you put in a screw type buckle it will be a bit loose. Cheers, CM

If you really use them for diving then gen is the way to go. If not, the reps are very good.

Now paying 10-20k for the gen would be nuts. We are just seriously addicted.

FYI- The buckles will be 18kt.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I have had dogs all my life. Every one has been a close friend and a family member to me. Losing them has been amazingly painful and I have sworn off pets multiple time because of it. But I always give in and now I have the best dog I have ever known. He is still young and I find myself mourning his future passing because I know I will face it someday, as stupid as that sounds. Until then I enjoy every day. Hang in there.

TTK is correct. Great value for the money! I don't tend to buy asian movement reps but this watch is a must have, movement or not. If they make a better version I would jump on it. Until then buy the current version and cross your fingers. They are stangely beautiful.

I own the orginal The Zigmeister PAM 196 7750 ETA conversion. Finepics is right on, as usual. If only it was that easy to correct it would have been done by the rep makers. I wish there was a short cut but there isn't. The best you will get is a better movement and the same date gap. Doh! Cheers!

Well said Feek. I work in a very aggresive software company and manage a rather large group of salespeople. These people work their [censored] off for us and I fully expect them to surf the web for virtually anything they want as long as it doesn't create a bad work environment for others and they produce revenue. I enjoy the few breaks in my day by checking in on this and other forums. My issue is that I don't see any reason that a watch forum needs to be pornographic. My assistant is always in and out of my office and I'm sure she doesn't want to see these images. I'm by no means a prude but it all comes down to one question (for me). What does porn add to the forum and what does it take away? Why put something up that keeps others from fully enjoying the hobby? I couldn't care less about most of the images but I can't speak for everybody that views my computer at work or home. Anyway, just my thoughts on the subject and I respect the fact that others will have other opinions. I like the fact that we are talking about it. Cheers!

I have had Aaron/HKTan make two straps for the FA Jones. One croc and one spotted tree lizard. they both look BEAUTIFUL! It will take a little while to get them but very nice custom straps.

I'm one of those people who checks up on the forums from work a fair amount. While this is certainly something I do at my own risk I have had to explain to my female assistant a few times that it is a watch forum and not a porn forum. She just laughs it off but it does make me wonder how many people have the same issue. I really enjoy the different avatars and think they add personality to the members but would like to see people keep the really nasty stuff off. Just my 2 cents. btw- I don't think the mods should have to worry about the avatars. We should be able to decide what is done in bad taste. Cheers, CM

Mine just showed up, #318. I put on a Black MP strap and it looks great.

That place is great. I wish they were open on the weekends so I could really go crazy. As it is I can barely get a chance to go there. This damn work thing keeps getting in the way.

Sorry to hear about this one. Every time I see a post saying something along the lines of "replicas are [censored], they always break, it cost me 200 bucks to get it fixed" I laugh a bit. Yes, gens are nice but they do break and when they do get ready for the real pain. Big repair/service bills and long timeframes. Cheers, CM

The new one is over 300 bucks. I have one sitting at the post office today. It looks much better in the photos but I will let you know how it is in hand. A good friend has the gen (although a slightly different version) so I will see if I can do a side by side for weight/size too. Cheers, CM

Aaron can make you a very nice custom strap in the 120-150 range. The one he just made for me looks like one on the iwc website, the rose gold version. Great work! Cheers, CM

Regarding the strap size. It is a 21/18. I have mine on right now with a custom HK Tan gator strap and it fits perfectly. Aaron makes great straps.
